After 3 years and many abnormal PAP smears, I would definitely get another opinion.
Melissa.
Are you currently going to an OB/GYN. or just your primary care physician? IMO, I would see an OB/GYN., but if you are already doing that, then I would ask that Dr. for a referral to a specialist, since obviously the GYN. does not seem to be resolving your issue. And, does your Dr. know that you are trying to get pregnant? I think that I would mention that to her , since she might advise against doing that until you have your problem under control. You might be compounding your problem if/when you get pregnant, OR you might have a more difficult time even getting pregnant if you don't resolve your problem first (which sounds as if it might be the case, judging from the comment that you made: "...I'm trying to get pregnant and I can't..."). Good luck to you!
yes i is my ob/gyn i just found a new dr a friend of mine had a similar problem but they had to remove her insides hope that is not the case for me since im trying to start a family wish me luck thanks for your comments
Just remember that your health comes first! I sincerely hope that you do not have to have a hysterectomy but, if that ends up being the final outcome, just remember that the doctor's decision will be in your best interest! You will probably still have other options for starting a family, if surgery is inevitable (adoption, surrogacy (if your eggs can be harvested), etc.). You need to be strong and healthy and take care of yourself, in order to then be able to take care of a baby, no matter how the baby might arrive in the future! Best of luck!
