I really wanted to have the lasik surgery but i don't think it's a good idea because i heard many people saying that after they get a lasik surgery they develop dry eyes which i have right now. I don't really mind about wearing glasses. its jsut that my older sister always complains about if you do lasik, you don't have to wear it and your eyes is so beautiful and she told me why i have to cover it. i'm getting my eye exam done this thursday. my left eye is very nearsided but my right eye i can pretty much read when i go to my eye doctor and get checked but my left eye when i tried to read it. i don't even know what letters. i would probably had to have a new lense for my glasses too but my mom told me that let's just wait and see since it's expensive to get new lense for my glasses. the eye exam is covered by my insurance so i'm so happy about it.

No, no, no, no, no! Do not get lasik; not ever! I got it 3 months ago and I am suicidal every minute of every day. My life and that of my family are ruined. I went to an experienced doctor and thought I had done research, but I found out that you don't discover the negative things about lasik until you have a bad experience. Google things like "lasik horror stories" and "lasik regrets." Also, check out usaeyes.org for lots of factual information and an extremely helpful patient blog. I never want anyone else to want to end their life over this. Spend the money for glasses, contacts, anything. I paid $4000 for the surgery and will still have to BUY contacts and glasses as well as pay for medication and counseling to try to keep my alive. DON'T LET ANYONE TALK YOU INTO THIS!!!
don't worry. i did read a lot of people comment online. besides, i can't have it, i have severe dry eyes and it will make it worse. i'm sorry you have to go through with this.
My wife had it done about 10 years ago and is doing well. You could stagger your bets and do the worst eye first.
