Keeping me honest

c1d8 - ok it's been a week - down 5.2 which is huge for me!  Friday was difficult for me to stay on plan.  I know that I have trouble keeping to a plan when I get tired and well Friday was no exception.  Well it was an exception in that I did not say well the heck with this I'll start again on Monday.  No I didn't do that and that is another stumbling block that I made it over.

Ok, are you finding the same thing?  I normally crave sweets, I am finding that I'm not craving them as terribly as I did say a week ago (LOL)!  No, really.  Maybe my mindset is better but I don't seem to be craving them as much.  I do hope that continues!

So off to the dentist this afternoon.  Then home, hopefully the rain will hold off and I can get some weeds pulled and some bulbs (for gardeners I'm putting in a few hosta) in.  My exercise yesterday was weeding a small patch of ground between my driveway and a neighbors... I'm sore today but am glad for it - it means that I worked!

Good day to y'all.

You go, girl! Way to stick with it on Friday. I usually crave sweets, too. It's the main ingredient of my weight gain! I do hope I stop craving them as my body adjusts to healthy eating. My hardest day will be this coming Sunday, hosting Easter dinner with good friends. Fortunately, I will not be baking the dessert and I'm going to suggest my friend bring either cheesecake or something with strawberries since I don't like either one (weird, huh?). No cookies! No chocolate! Those are my downfalls. Happy planting!

Last night I found a great "sweet" - I froze a container of Lemon yogurt.  It was Yoplait Lemon Chiffon Pie, it was very tasty and it took quite awhile to eat it as it freezes pretty hard.  So I got a '2-fer' a good yogurt snack and it took longer to eat it!

The frozen yogurt snack sounds good.  I thought about doing that with the smoothie, sometimes you just need a taste.  I'm down 5 pounds and the pants are a little loose!  Mid day I like to peel a grapefruit, that will get your tastebuds going. I'm on day 8 also.

Hi Kitty! The lemon chiffon yogurt sounds yummy (sort of lemon meringue pie tasting, eh?). I'm making mock lemon meringue pie for my "dessert" tonight to get my 2nd probiotic in. The recipe is on the list posted on this web site. Greek plain or vanilla yogurt (6 oz.), 2 pkgs. Truvia, 2 tsp. lemon extract, blend together and place in a ramekin. Refrigerate until needed after next step. Beat 1 egg white with 1 pkg. Truvia until stiff peak forms. Put this on top of the lemony yogurt and broil until toasty brown. YUM! I'll let you know how it turns out. BTW, D3 has me down 3.5 lbs. and I'm not experiencing insomnia anymore (well not for the last two nights since I started plan anyway). Still getting a very slight headache in afternoons. Sugar withdrawal maybe??  My body has to be in total shock right now!

mtnrose, I will have to search the site.  For the most part I'm trying to get used to no sweets.  My sugar level is boarding on pre-diabetes and I want to avoid that, not to mention avoid full blown diabetes.  Hoping to lose my sweet tooth.  Sometimes I get a diet A&W Rootbeer to fill my sweet tooth.  You are doing great!

Afternoon headache possible sugar withdrawl, or if you have reduced caffiene that can cause headache too.

Oh for a good nights sleep.

I just realized that I haven't had heartburn like I've been having.

Hmmm these are pretty good side effects!
