I am on a MEDICALY Supervised Diet called NEW DIRECTIONS. 

It is a weight control system with nutritional supplement "shakes" Strawberry,  Mocha,  Chocalate,  and really it truly tastes like real ice cream. 

Breakfast bars that taste like really candy bars for real not some stale granola sand paper,  and cookies and puddings  well the vanilla pudding did take some getting used to...

A nurse takes my blood pressure,  and my weight and it is thru my medical center. 

The F  D  up part is about my insurance they will not cover it if it is for weight loss or obseity  arent they jack azzes? 

The good ??bad thing is since I had that stupid gastric bypass in 1999,   I have been vitamen defcient and it is documented so my nurse seems to think we can " document it for either vitamen purpose or whatever in order for me to stay on this program. 

Now I am doing this straight like I mentioned above.  Other people do it and add food at 1,000 calories others do it at 1200 etc.  I will eventually add other stuff.  I didnt even try to google this on the internet.

I like going and being accountable to someone each week.  My sister likes weight watchers,  but this works for me.  Oh I forgot to tell you all something I took Honey bear out for a real long walk today too and when I got home I put my ipod on and walked another 1/2 mile on my treadmill.

I feel so much better when I get into this positive frame of mind and I often question myself why the hell do I let myself get to coach potatoe status?

I too am trying to loose weight, I need to take off 30 lbs, I've been to Weight Watchers (WW) in the past and I like their program.  I still have all the material/cookbooks, etc. so I've been following the guidelines at home.  I weigh in on Wednesday's as does my boyfriend.  He's not doing WW, he is just preparing more healthy meals for the family, it figures that he is loosing faster than me, men seem to loose quicker?  I need to incorporate more walking, my boyfriend and I walk after dinner a few times a week but I need more exercise to assist in my weight loss.  I'm hoping to work through the Doctor's site for support and I'd be happy to help support you as well if you'd like. I'd like to hear more about the program you've started.  Look forward to hearing from you.

Hey Ladies,

I'm losing 30lbs too!  I started the Jillian Michael's 30 Day Shred and holy crap..... talk about getting shredded!  :-)  I've lost 4lbs and with the help of the tracking of my nutrition through www.sparkpeople.com, I'm actually feeling great.  My friend has started a group on facebook for us who are losing the weight for a support of "what did you do today" :-)

Stick with it ladies!!!!  Whatever means you use, I'm clammering support here for you!!!!

I'm so proud of all of you!  You don't have to be thin as a tooth pick to be a "Goddess"!  Please remember that.  I walk and run every day.  I am also going to join you on your quest... hell, the more the merrier, right?  I am going to try to take more time to take care of myself.  I have slacked off on pampering myself.  I use to have this whole body regiment I would go through at night.... I haven't been doing that, because I've been stressed out.  I no longer sit and moisturize my face and body like I use to.  I'm not going to let anything get in the way of taking care of myself anymore.  I will take that 30 minutes every night for myself.  Screw the rest of the world!  I deserve to pamper myself and feel like a "princess".  When you take the time to relax and take care of yourself, it really shows.  Exfoliate, and then moisturize your body, you automatically look and feel so much better.  Your skin just glows!  And when you look better, you feel better about yourself too.  Plus, it totally drives guys wild when they see their woman feeling sexy about themselves.  I'm sure I don't have to tell you ladies that sex burns calories too ;)  So to those of you who are in a relationship, get with it!!!!!! What guy wouldn't want to help his honey lose weight like that??  "Honey, I need your help, I need to "exercise"!!!  I have a feeling, he will rise to the occasion. LOL  Losing weight will never be more fun!

I've been working hard this week, hopefully when I get on the scale on Wednesday it will show.  Haven't gotten much excersise though, one of my goals this week.  How are we doing?

Hey Lexi Lee,

I'm going on the scale on Wednesday also.  I made the mistake of going yesterday and after losing 4lbs, I seemed to have gained back 3lbs.  Does anyone know if it's true that you gain weight as you gain muscle mass?  I've been exercising daily the 30 Day Shred thing and have toned a lot, have kept my calories between 1200 and 1400 so what gives on gaining it back?  Anyone?
