Cycle 1 Day 8

So far so good.  Down 8lbs in 8 days and finally feeling the energy the book said I would.  I will admit that the first couple of days while my body rid itself of the heavy toxins it had built up in it I didn't have much energy.  I haven't exercised everyday but managed to get 4 days in last week.  Today though - I feel very energetic and can't wait to get to the gym this afternoon and work up a good sweat. 

I was getting a bit bored last week with the same food over and over again and then I re-read the Cycle 1 chapter.  I think in my haste to get started I missed some very valuable information in that chapter.  I made lettuce wraps this weekend and they were so good.  The other thing I have found is the Epicure catalogue - they have lots of seasonings that are salt free and extremely low on carbs.  I'm looking forward to making the Tazaziki with Greek yogurt when I get that spice.  It's amazing what seasonings can do for food (instead of smothering things in cheese and salt).  

Costco is my new favorite store to shop for produce - you get lots of it for a low price and it is great quality.  Since we are eating a lot of veggies it definitely makes the most sense I have found.  I'm excited to continue the journey.
