I'm 58 and had to retire due to medical problems. I have R.A. and O.A. and now Osteoperoses. I've had both shoulders replaced, both knees replaced they started to call me the Bionic Woman. I have lwer lumbar disk dease and a sliped vertibrey. I went back to my Orthopedic surgen who took more exrays finding the veribray had moved over a lot more since 2005. At times the imflamation causes pinched nerves. My Orthopedic Surgen could send me to some DR who inserts shots interveniously and as the last resort surgey. So I don't do anything as even just leaning over the sink tightens my lower back causing so much pain.
I have high blood presser and some leakage of the heart. I take medication for depression and anxity but I have taken meds for that problem all my life. But than they use to call it a cemical imballance causing me to be hyper active and overly emotional.
I just finished up with my eye surgeries I hope. Laser surgey for narrow eyed gloccoma and then removing excess skin from above the eye lid. Then bring up the tendens in my eyes to the brow line so my eye lids could stay open inorder to see. They just put plugs in my eye to help with cronic dry eyed syndrum.
Now you may understand why I don't clean the house or do laundry or cooking. I'm Husband beats every one when it comes to being a couch potato! If I could redo the kitchen and make it handycap excessible I'ed do it myself. Same way with the landry it's a top loader and the dryer as well as the washer doesn't have the dials on the on the front so I can sit in my chair.
We have a swiming pool. My Daughter wants me to get out and do aqua theripy but it's hard to do when I need some one to clean the pool (couch potato proplems again.) No one will help without being paid and if I could afford to have someone to clean, cook, laundry and up keep on the pool I wouldn't have this problem.
I keep a positive attitude sitting in my recliner and intertain myself watching TV and playing on facebook.
My question is what type of exersize is best for me to do in my chair? I've been ganing alot of weight even though I try to watch what I eat as much as possible.
