For those who havent read the blog of why I got this spinal tap, it was because if this certain test came back low, it would diagnose me with narcolepsy (the last of all the things before diagnosis). It was a test done at Stanford University, measuring hypocretin in patients' blood. Low hypocretin indicated that it was a diagnostic exam to diagnose narcolepsy. If it was normal, then it was normal and nothing else we can do.
Anyway, the results came in and everything was normal. I don't officially have narcolepsy, but because of every diagnosis I've had, he may still treat me in some way. We need to talk (me and DR) about treatment options. I see him either next week if he can fit me in, or in about a month. Hopefully the treatment will help, whatever it will be.
Melissa.

*edit * ... it wasn't measuring hypocretin in the blood; it was measured in the CSF.
I see him on the 17th.
Melissa.
Good luck. I'm glad you are taking control of your health and well-being!
Thanks GreeFish :)
