Does anyone know if The Doctor's show will be pre-empted during the Olympics? I know of one show that will be pre-empted and wondered about this one.

I saw on the TV screen today that the DRs show wont be on until Aug 12, because of the olympics.

I dont know if they will be new episodes. My guess is not, because it is the summer. But not totally sure.

You're probably right, usually new seasons start in Sept...was hoping they'd throw in a few new ones in between all the repeats like they did that time a few weeks ago...
