WEIGHT LOSS:
Daily in the morning one half hour before breakfast on an empty stomach, and at night before sleeping, drink honey and cinnamon powder boiled in one cup of water. If taken regularly, it reduces the weight of even the most obese person. Also, drinking this mixture regularly does not allow the fat to accumulate in the body even though the person may eat a high calorie diet.
The formula for honey and cinnamon for weight loss is ubiquitous.
1. Use honey and cinnamon in a 1:2 ratio (one part cinnamon, two parts honey)
2. Put the cinnamon in a cup or bowl.
3. Boil one cup of water.
4. Pour water over the cinnamon and let it steep for 30 minutes.
5. Once the liquid has cooled, add honey. Always add honey to the cooled liquid – hot liquid will destroy the enzymes in the raw honey.
6. Drink half of the resulting “tea” before going to bed. Cover and refrigerate the rest.
7. Drink the other half first thing in the morning.
8. Do not add anything to the recipe. Only drink on an empty stomach, first thing in the morning and right before bed.
Typical claims of benefits that you will find for drinking this concoction include:
1. Inches will be lost before you will notice the scale creeping downward.
2. The cinnamon and honey cleanses parasites, fungus and bacteria out of the digestive tract.
3. You may experience side effects due to the release of toxicity.
4. You may experience increased energy, better sex drive and a better mood.
5. The formula will block your body from gaining fat.

hi i want to try this tea , my question is how much you add of each exacly pls let me know
Here is some more detailed info:
Cinnamon and Honey formula for weight loss:
This should be prepared at night before going to bed.
1. Use 1 part cinnamon to 2 parts raw honey. 1/2 tsp cinnamon to 1 tsp honey is recommended but can use more or less as long as in the ratio of 1 to 2. --- so 1 tsp cinnamon to 2 tsp raw honey is ok too as an example.
2. Boil 1 cup...that is 8 oz of water.
3. Pour water over cinnamon and cover and let it steep for 1/2 hour..(30 minutes)
4. Add honey now that it has cooled. Never add honey when it is hot as the heat will destroy the enzymes and other nutrients in the raw honey.
5. Drink 1/2 of this directly before going to bed. The other 1/2 should be covered and refrigerated.
6. In the morning drink the other half that you refirgerated...but do not re-heat it...drink it cold or at room temp only.
Do not add anything else to this recipe. No lemon, no lime, no vinegar. It is not necessary to drink it more time in a day...it is only effective on an empty stomach and primarily at night.
This works for most people. Inches are lost before any measurement on the scales. This program will cause significant inches lost...but you will reach a plateau and may not lose anymore. This is because the cinnamon and honey cause a cleansing effect in the digestive tract and cleans out parasites and other fungus and bacteria that slow down the digestion...causing a toxic build up. (Lowers pH) Once this is all cleaned out then you will most likely have the weight loss slow down.
Other side effects from a cleansing can occur because of toxins being released...if this occurs, cut back on how much you use or take a break.

Honey and peanut butter sandwiches are THE best. Also instead of cinnamon and sugar on toast, avoid the butter/margarine and use honey instead with the ciinamon.

I think I'll give it a try, will let you know. ~ Lexi ~
I'm trying it too, but just eating cinnamon with honey with anything it can go with. I may try the "tea" when I reach that plateau of losing weight.
Melissa.
I think I am going to give this a try tonight and see what happens. My husband may think I am strange but oh well. lol

Cinnamon is a spice. It's brown and kind of powdery-like (ground). They come in stores in the spice section. They also come as cinnamon sticks.

Scroll down the page, on the right side you will see what cinnamon looks like.

Hi, I only drank what they said to drink at a time (1/2 cup at a time). I'm not sure if more will make things work faster or different if you drink more at a time. Yes, for me the cinnamon got thick on the bottom, but only after it had been sitting overnight. When I did this I didn't do it every night, but did it some nights, couldn't tell much difference other than when I was eating like a pig I didn't gain any weight from it; not sure iff the cinnamon and honey contributed or not to that.

It is confusing to me, not knowing who you are, Melissa. Perhaps I missed something somewhere giving your qualifications. I would like to know what the doctors think of this honey and cinnamon diet. Do they say that both the diet and all those remedies work or not or the jury is still out? Are you also a doctor who has checked the research on this?
Can you give a URL for the above?
Thanks for clarifying this for us.
Hi, I gave all the URLs above in blue, including in some of the posts. I don't know if it is a definite thing, hence the URLs I found on the internet that I thought people would be interested in. My qualifications are of a regular person. I found this info on the internet. Nothing else. I don't know if DRs approved it or there were studies done. It's like anyone, including you, finding something on the internet and blogging about it. I have no clue as how to answer your post any other way.

WARNING TO ALL: I cannot see the name I am addressing this to while writing this, something like Shamahboob, who said something like "No harm done," but this is a warning to all. I read or heard somewhere that pregnant women should not take cinnamon in these kind of quantities. Normal seasoning of foods is apparently fine. And you never give honey to a baby under a certain age. So we do have to be responsible on these matters.
I checked the original source of the Honey and Cinnamon diet, and the source I had looks like a tabloid to me, so I do not trust it. I have heard the doctors talk about the benefits of cinnamon and the benefits of honey, but not this diet. I know the Bible says something about using a LITTLE honey. Adelle Davis says people gain weight from use of honey. So I think the quantity of the cinnamon and honey is important.
Thanks for sharing Melissa. I need to copy this down. I need all the help I can get LOL TTYL :0
PS I am going to try this tonight *•.¸♥ *•.
LIBBA ... you wrote, "I have heard the doctors talk about the benefits of cinnamon and the benefits of honey, but not this diet."
I NEVER said this was a diet! Just something I found on the internet that I thought people would be interested in, as something to AID IN weight loss.
Melissa.
Hi, can i use cinnanom powder and honey that you buy in groceries? Thanks!
Yes, you can. That's is what I experimented with.
Melissa.
Thank you so much! I'm so excited to try it! Hope that it helps!
Thanks for sharing I am gonna try this *• •*¨*
Interesting potion! I wonder if you can mix it with other ingredients, or put it into a smoothie. Anyone know?
Not to say that there aren't benefits to the age-old tradition of eating cinnamon and honey, but I believe additional documentation is needed for the above claim. According to Snopes (specifically http://www.snopes.com/medical/homecure/honey.asp) a longer version of the passage has been circulating since 1995. I first saw it as a Facebook post yesterday. I checked it out on Snopes to find it was once a periodical article and then it was circulated as an e-mail.
tdahl390 ... I also put them in other things like smoothies. Not so much the cinnamon, but yes to the honey.
missmaura ... the documentation is the link highlighted in blue at the end of the blog. Whether it needs additional documentaion or not, idk. I'm not an expert on this; just thought it was interesting and thought I'd share it with others.

Hi, just wondering about this cinnamon and honey thing. Is any kind of honey ok? I have pure liquid honey(thats what is says on the bottle) is this ok?
Hi, I have heard about the cinnamon and honey tea a while back but I, just recently, am trying it. I was wondering if there is really a need to boil the water 1st or what the need for that was? I know heat kills all the good enzymes so why not just use luke warm water in the 1st place?
I want to know if there is any difference in using ground cinnamon verses liquid cinnamon? Is one better than the other as far as effects? With the liquid, what is your recommended dosage?
jenniw ... you have a good point ... #5 says to add honey when the liquid is cooled down. So adding it to that shouldn't kill any of the good properties (IMO). Idk why they have you boil water in the first place. Maybe it is just so you kill all the bacteria in the water? So, ie, maybe you can use warm bottled water. I really dont know the answer though to your question though. It is a really good point.
Melissa.
Just wondering, does this actually work, and how long til you see results?
Hi. I have a question. Can a diabetic too try this weight loss formula. I think honey is a big no for diabetics. Thanks to confirm
nmcarrier10 ... I think (IMO) it might help a person to lose weight, but is not an actual diet. Results will mosts likely vary between people.
krupa ... that is a geat question about whether this would be ok for diabetics! Thanks for asking. I think you are right about it not being a good idea for diabetics (because of the honey). Maybe you can consult with your DR or a dietitian to see if there might be alternatives.
Cinnamon by itself is really good for you, and if you can't have the honey, having the cinnamon (on top of or in things) IMO would be really helpful. If you google cinnamon and diabetics you'll find many links to the benefits of cinnamon, ie helps with blood glucose control. Here is one I found:

I am trying the cleanse. Is it ok if I make the tea for the whole week? And how much cinnamon do I use of I do it for the whole week?
Just want you to know it isn't a cleanse, just an adjunct to a diet. To answer you question,
Use 1 part cinnamon to 2 parts raw honey. 1/2 tsp cinnamon to 1 tsp honey is recommended but can use more or less as long as in the ratio of 1 to 2.
The amount you need for a week depends on how much you want to use. example ... IF you use 1 tsp cinnamon per day, then 7 days (a week) would be 7 tsp.
Melissa.
is there any side effects? will i have to run to the restroom?
Dawn ... good question. Personally I never had a problem.
Melissa.
I've been drinking this concoction for a month now. It works and I did not experience any side effect.(did not have to run to the bathroom). I do it a different way. I don't boil my water. I use raw honey bought at Whole foods.1 teaspoon in warm water just to dissolve it, sprinkle in the cinnamon (I don't measure the cinnamon) and a little more water, then drink on the spot. The taste of the cinnamon can be overpowering at times, so what works for me is taking it like a shot with 4-6oz of water.
It shrinks the stomach area fast and when I mean fast-- like 2 days of drinking morning and night.and it gives me more enegry, makes me fill fuller and I find myself making my own fruit juice (with a juicer) regularly, juice (green leafy veggies) occasionally and I eat more fish. And have in mind that, I'm someone that can't do without eating red meat in a "Day". I guess the first thing this concoction did was to help me cut off the red meat LOL. I took a week off it to see the difference and I did not gain back but still lost 1lb without it. So yes, the 1st thing you notice is the inches off before the weight on the scale.I use honey for so many things, like hair mask, and face mask. People use cinnamon as spice everyday, people use honey instead of sugar everyday. So why can't I put both it with water and drink huh?
If you feel there is danger in it or if you have other health problems then don't do it. Of course you can't feed Honey to babies under 1 nor pregnant women. I remember when the idea of putting just lemon in water came out. People came out with so many "danger warnings" about how lemon & too much water is bad for you EST.
I’m 5”3 and my BMI is 28 which need to be between 18.5-24.9(normal for my height). My problem areas are my stomach and arms. And I don’t like the gym
You don’t have to do what I did
Thanks meme2013 for posting!
