Which one is better to use and why? I'm thinking mainly for arthritis, PMS cramps, backaches, headaches, things like that. Ice works well on headaches but not always completely. I can't take much tylenol or anything with it in it because I was put on a medication that affects my liver directly and I haven't gotten liver enzymes done yet to see if it affects it too much. So Tylenol is kind of out for the time being. Any suggestions whether to use motrin or advil and why? Thanks.

No, I know they are different drugs and act differently. A friend of mine suggested motrin because Advil didn't work and I was wondering if one was safer than the other to use.

Meliss, I don't know which is safer, I prefer Motrin because it works better for me. That is the only thing I take and I swear by it. Feel better! Bobbie
They're both Ibuprofen. They're just different Brand Names with the same active ingredient. Just like Acetaminophen comes under the Brand name Tylenol and Equate for example.
