Remember the blueberries and Weight Loss?

I wrote a former blog about blueberries and weight loss, where having blueberries everyday for 2 or 3 months helped lower abdominal belly fat.  Well, I tried it.  Blueberries EVERY DAY for 2 months, both fresh or frozen.  I found that it's result were the OPPOSITE !!!  I did NOT lose any weight having them everyday.  So after the 2 months I stopped them and I started to lose belly fat (slowly but it is happening) then.  I am NOT saying blueberries are not good for you and that you shouldn't have them.  Just that the weight loss experiment doesn't work, at least with me.

Meliss, were you eating the blueberries by themselves or with something else.  If you were putting them into something, maybe the thing you were putting them into was the problem.  Blueberries are a rich source of anti-oxidents, so you did yourself a favor by eating them.

I ate them either alone (fresh ones usually), or mixed in with yogurt (frozen ones and some fresh).  The yogurt was the fit and light one of I think Dannon..it had no high fructose corn syrup in it which was why i ate it.  So I don't think the yogurt affected anything.  I agree they are rich in antioxidants and are one of the healthiest foods to eat.  I haven't given up blueberries forever, just gave them up for awhile :)  .

Fresh blueberries, helped my contispation problem, I must say. I really like them in my cereal. But I just added a few here and there.  I have gained weight but not because of blueberries... Just not eating the foods I need so I'm getting back on track.
