Hello all- I'm not a computer savy person, so this may take me a while.LOL.. I'm so glad a show like is finally being done. I have alot of medical issues myself and hope that they will talk about them eventually. I've had 3 stomach hernia surgeries, gall bladder surgery, appendix surgery, but my main concern is my circulation problems in my legs. It's a vein problem. The blood flow goes down my legs but not back up. Plus I have arthritis in my legs to. I'm suppose to wear comression hose but my legs hurt so bad to put them on. Anyway hope everyone is enjoying this show as much as I am.

Hi Miley.....I know what you mean about having all the surgeries. I had 7 between Aug.2004 and Jan.2007. Almost died after the last one. Woke up several days later only to be told I kept stopping breathing.
Compression stockings can be gotten in different sizes and perhaps if you tried a bigger size, they wouldn't hurt so much. Better than using nothing. The alternative is using fairly loose ACE bandages starting at the feet and working up to your knees. Just make sure they are loose when you first try it.
I don't know if you had this in the hospital but they have a machine that uses compressed air to inflate and deflate these plastic cuffs you wrap around your lower legs. It does the bottom cuff, then moves up to a mid-cuff then finally a cuff just below the knees. Feels like a massage! It's supposed to cut down on blood clots in the legs after surgery. Perhaps your insurance would spring for one of these for your home. Just using it at night should make a difference.

Hi Miley, my name is Veronica I know a little about you are talking about a doctor did a number on me and I ended up with a hernia surgery 2 monthes ago I had surgery today to have a 2 mass removed from my left breast thanks to a doctor and now they tell me I need another hernia but they are holding off till I heal a little bit from what I just had done today. The problem with my hernia is they could not fold it over and sew the mesh on they had to leave mine open faced and lay the mesh on top and sew it like a round pancake and its the size of a softball I have a lot of scar tissue in the way from having a overhang taken off and its causing problems for me now. Welcome Miley, This sight is great. It is nice if you don't get the answer from the show I am sure you will get alot of information from others on this sight.
