pink eye

my son brought home pink eye from and now my other son age 1 and my 5 month old daughter has it how do i go about not spreading to the other kids in  the house  and how long is it contagious

when my kids had the pink eye,i kept them home from school and made sure they washed their hands whenever they touched their eyes.The doctor prescribed some drops that was very helpful too.Go see the doctor and try to prevent them from touching their eyes to scratch.It will only last for 5 days or less depending on the child.

Are you treating it with over the counter polysporin eye drops?  Or other prescribed eye drops? I think it's contagious for as long as it is goopy and tearing (so while there is any drainage from the eyes).....or until they've been treated with antibiotic eye drops for at least 24 hours......might want to check with your pediatrician.

i took him to the doc and they said bout 24 of him using the drops it is not contagious anymorebut it is just slowly going through family like all illness
