Really!! Do you rreally think they are beautiful? Come on Doctors. They are NOT naturally beautiful. What a disapointment. No beauty tips other than to go under the KNIFE. Maybe because you have a Plastic Surgeon on board you thought this was a good idea. Did you look at them (with the exception of J. Bissett) they look like mannequins. Diane Cannon was scarey looking!! I would not use chamomile tea if I'm going to look like that after thirty years of use. You can do better than this show on older women looking good. Maybe Betty White would be a better candidate. Jacqueline Bissett was the exception to your panel. I think she looked uncomfortable.

Good (harmful) smells from Cosmetic products
Take a look.
Now that you mention it, J. Bissett did look uncomfortable during the show; I wondered about that.
And yes, I also think Betty White would have made an excellent guest. Not with the ones there today though, but in general for her beauty/aging/staying young secrets.

Oh my gosh...I couldn't agree MORE!!! Both Diane & Dyan looked like their faces were positively frozen...and I think that J. Bissett was somewhat shocked as SHE sat there looking NATURAL, and I might add, MUCH better! All ladies seemed very nice, but c'mon ladies.....NOBODY MENTIONED THE ELEPHANT NAMED BOTOX that was sitting in the room!!!! Beauty tips????? Make many, many trips to plastic surgeons and let your 'INNER BEAUTY shine!!!!! ;)
Oh my!!!! This was a very hilarious show to watch...but I don't think they INTENDED that initially!!!! Do you think any of the "Doctors" will admit how shocking the frozen faces were????
Completely agree! Diahann looks as if she wouldn't be able to crack a smile if she tried; her ENTIRE face would probably crack first!!! The other Dyan looked just like the majority of the post-surgery "celebs": very cat-like!!! I couldn't really tell if Jacqueline has had any "work" done, and I don't recall whether she mentioned it or not? But, she quite obviously colors her hair, since it was- in my opinion- a much TOO dark, unnatural shade of BLACK, that is much too harsh on someone her age, and especially with her fair skin tone! (Plus, she looked as if she had lost her brush and comb, because her hair was a mess!). BTW, I think that both she and Dyan should look into more age-appropriate hair styles, as well!
And then, the three of them have the audacity and hypocrisy to "lecture" the rest of us about NOT judging others; accepting people for what is on the 'inside', rather than the 'outside'; and then claiming that the aging process has taught them that 'heart and brains' are much more important than 'outer beauty'! REALLY? Then WHY have at least two out of the three of them OVERDONE it with plastic surgery???
This show, IMO, has to go down as one of the WORST shows that THE DOCTORS has ever presented! They should have waited and aired this on April 1st!!! They certainly missed the mark by inviting these three people to speak on a show that was intended to be about natural beauty and/or inner beauty, and accepting the aging process! There have to be at least a FEW celebrities in Hollywood who are aging naturally and gracefully- WITHOUT plastic surgery- who would have made much more sense to feature as guests than these three!!!
One more thought about plastic surgery, too! Personally, I would NEVER want to have plastic surgery for purely vain, cosmetic reasons (medically necessary reasons (accident, disease, etc.) would, perhaps, be different!), due to the fact that, if I DID have plastic surgery, I'm afraid that- in my old age, at the end of my life- I would wonder WHAT I actually would have looked like IF I had just let myself age naturally, and NOT had the surgery! It would drive me crazy to NOT know what I would have looked like, as God intended, rather than only knowing what I looked like as a result of tampering with Mother Nature!!!
As I looked at Dyan, I was trying to picture her WITHOUT the cat-like, puffy plastic surgery features, and I couldn't help but think that she would have probably looked so much LESS distorted if she would have just left herself alone! The celebrities seem to live in such FEAR of "looking old"; but wouldn't they rather look "old", than look like a cat???!!! And, let's face it, after a certain age, people just aren't looking at them the same way that they did when they were younger, so why do they seem to be SO desperate to try to retain their youthful features anyway? After all, 70 is 70, 80 is 80, and so on; do you really think that you have the same "appeal"- to anyone- when you reach the "golden years"?!
I agree, Jacqueline Bissett did seem a bit uncomfortable sitting next to the one with puffy cheeks and the other one with gargantuan lips! I must say that she looked the least "worked on," I liked how she had a lot of lines on her face. She at least looked natural. Her hair didn't bother me too much, lucylamb, I just thought it was a bit frizzy--possibly from overstyling?
Actually, I tuned in late when they just introduced her--J Bissett. I was shocked by the sight of the other two! I was completely distracted the whole time. J Bissett seemed to be the only one who talked of substance, the other two seemed fake, and even when Diane Cannon was talking about her cancer struggles, I had a hard time following her, she was trying to sound intelligent by using an elevated vocabulary, but she just wasn't coherent to me!
WHY do women feel that when they hit 40, they need to inject their lips?!?! I'm 38 and my lips look just the way they did in their 20s. What gives? Do they feel like their lips have thinned? Well, they end up looking gross and unnatural! Meg Ryan, Lisa Rinna, and even young Lindsay Lohan have done it--with absolutely terrible results! I would rather have thin lips than inflated monster lips!
My idol: AUDREY HEPBURN! SHE truly aged gracefully!
I agree, lucylamb. I WANT to know what I look like when I'm older. I don't want to wake up shocked every morning by clown lips, overly high and plump cheekbones and NO expression in my face! Women have RUINED their natural beauty with all these cosmetic procedures.
However, that said, if I'm older and look angry when I'm not, look tired when I'm not, THEN I would consider some type of procedure, starting with non-invasive. Hopefully, when we're older, they'll have come up with a safe, non-invasive treatment for bags under the eyes or to get rid of that angry scowl between the eyes when we're not angry. I do not believe that women and all cast members of The Real Housewives NEEDS all these procedures. They end up looking fake, trashy, materialistic, vain, and I would argue...UGLY.
Other actresses that I think have aged gracefully...Meryl Streep and Helen Mirren. Maybe they've had some work done, but at least it looks natural. Lines and wrinkles and expressions are needed in their line of work.
Hi everyone, the conversation about plastic surgery continues...check out some recent posts here from me and lucylamb27!
