Inflamatory Bowl Disease: Ulcerative Colitis and Crohns

I was diagnosed with Ulcerative Colitis when I was 13 years old. I have had a total Colectomy and had an iliostomy bag for 7 months. I have been through sooooo much with this disease! I would love to see something about Ulcerative Colitis and Crohns on your show. I feel like its something people put in the dark because it has to do with poop and many people are having symptoms and not talking to their doctors. I am 16 years old and I am involved with CCFA in helping raise money for a cure. I am on a fundraising team with GI doctors at Children's Healthcare of Atlanta and Emory University. I have helped mentor many teens through there IBD and reconstructional surgery. I am a year away from becoming a councilor at Camp Oasis (a camp for crohns and colitis patients). My mom has had Ualcerative Colitis also. I am very passionate about helping others with IBD. I feel like it is very serious and needs more awareness. I would love to be on your show to talk about my story.
