Todays Drugs and our Kids

I have been around teens using various drugs from pot to meth. Most of the teens I've heard all think they are immortal and they can stop any time they want. Most of them don't think of the real life consequences they just want to have fun. Most of them don't believe what media tells them will happen to them. A lot of them think our 'real world' ideas are stupid. They think the government doesn't have any clue what it is 'they need'. I've been told the users don't want to quit; they just want the society to give them food, shelter, medicine etc and leave them alone. They don't believe there are any treatments that will ensure they stay clean. There is no 'shock treatments' for them. They've seen it all and are numb to anything we can say or do.
