Ugly Legs
I had thrombo phlebitis when I was pregnant quite a few years ago and when I was pregnant with my 1st child, my Dr. told me it looked like I had already had 10 kids by the looks of my legs. I have had my legs stripped and had the laser treatment for my varicose veins to help with the pain. The measures I have taken to help my legs have helped the pain, but my legs are ugly. On vacation, I went into a convenient store to pay for the gas we had got and a trucker was in there and made fun of my legs saying he was glad he didn't have ugly legs and would never go out in public if he had legs that looked like mine. I ignored him like I thought was the best idea, but when we got back on the interstate he kept changing lanes in front of us with his 18 wheeler. I can't believe that the ugliness of my legs led my family to be in such an unsafe situation. The varicose veins have left my ankles at two different sizes with the right ankle measuring 10" and my left ankle measuring 12". Is there anything that can be done to minimize the bulging areas in my legs and make them look nice again?

I can understand UR pain. When 16 a 20 year old stalking me was yelling up obscenities at me since I wouldn't date him and learned my mother worked two job and my dad in VA Hospital in Bonham, TX and I was home alone. Before stalking laws. I called police. Two policeman and came out and said I was wasting their time to come out over someone yelling vulgar names at me that they could be solving murders. The left and rapist came up stairs laughing that even the police didn't care about me. After being terrorized 4 years police thought same person planned to kill me and said, "You need to get a big man to protect you because we can't protect you 24 hours a day." Well, I can't think about... just reminded me of. Lets just say the dental plan of a rapist's fist has my two middle bottom from teeth looking like twin towers in NYC 9/11. Use to and for fun tried out for Dallas Cowboy Cheerleaders since love to dance. Judges looked really impressed until I smiled with mixmatched bondo jobby teeth. Totally forgot about I was having so much fun. They didn't say anything but their faces said it all... from repossessed braces when mother couldn't keep up payments to right after right after taken off spitted up pieces of my teeth hit in the face by a rapist. I've had a truck driver try to run me down too before and SCARY... Hope you got license tag or name of truck to turn him in and hope taken seriously if you did. I think I'll Google Cosmetic surgery for varicose veins since you perked my interest yet, if you're like me, you only trust THE DOCTORS and their colleagues. Sorry for all the typos and PTSD flash back... Cannot figure out how I can think front and type from. Hope you could understand when read. I read hormones in women predispose us to have varicose veins and see why a woman I know has even though slender due to predisposition of women and since she is on her feet a lot. She mostly wears long pants so definitely something a lot of women would like to know info on. She's into all natural since a Texas A&M graduate in horticulture so would never have plastic surgery for varicose veins. I would have plastic surgery for some things so feel many would like to know cosmetic options for varicose veins like you, I'm sure. All the best to you always... SEA

I have pelvic congestion which is vericose veins in the pelvis. They are very painful. I would like to know what causes them and what I can do about them. Are they a symptom of a larger problem?

I have same problem with Debbie had. The only thing defferents is my veins aren't the big. I had my right leg done for surgery when my 2nd child 6-7 month old of 2003. Now I am getting done my left leg in spring for laser surgery . My right leg has more varicose veins showing and it hurts more. My vascular doctor had check my heart beat to make sure it is ok. Well, she I told have a heart murmur. This is has to do with the blood flow? I went saw my family the doctor a week later my heart. She told can't hear it the heart murmur. Then my family doctor sent for altrasound. After altrasounds I had to go back to my doctor for follow up. Of my altrasounds. Then she explained to me about the result came out I have a backwards regurgitation. Mitral valve: Can you tell me how I got this and what type of work out and activities I should do. Please, help me. Thank you very much! My varicose veins it's hurts, ugly, and I cant go for long run. I am very ative lady and loves to do the out activities.
