Childhood Cancer Awareness

September is Childhood Cancer Awareness and it desparately needs to be brought to the attention of Americans immediately!!! The number of kids who are diagnosed each year are staggering and what's worse is the amount of children who die from this horrible disease everyday. Other types of cancer seem to get all the recogition (and they deserve to) but so does childhood cancers! We need help in raising awareness about this dreadful disease to get law makers to pass laws that will free up the funds to do the research on this particualar cancer to give each and every child out there who is or has been diagnosed with cancer a second chance at life! One childs death is one too many!!!!
Not only that, I feel it is important for parents to know that even though your child SEEMS healthy....it doesn't always mean they are. They need to go see their doctor on a regular basis. Just like our daughter...who would have thought that a routine sports physical would turn our lives completely upside down in a matter of seconds.
Please give this the attention it so deserves!!
