Fentanyl is a medically prescribed drug prescribed for chronic pain issues. But what people don't know is that Fentanyl is an opiate and can cause both long term mental and physical addiction. Some side effects to Fentanyl are... Constipation; diarrhea; dizziness; dry mouth; exaggerated sense of well-being; headache; indigestion; loss of appetite; nausea; nervousness or anxiety; redness or discomfort on skin where patch is applied; sleepiness; sleeplessness; stomach pain or discomfort; sweating; vomiting. The original reason for prescribing Fentanyl was because some doctors were being came down on hard by the DEA for the misuse of Oxycontin and Hydrocondone, but seeing someone who has been on Fentanyl for a long period of time is like watching their life deteriorate right infront of you. Fentanyl addiction is a serious problem in the United States and tends to happen quickly and to unsuspecting individuals who have been prescribed Fentanyl for legitimate pain reasons. The addiction happens very fast and once you have a Fentanyl addiction, chances are it is too late to find an easy solution to get off Fentanyl. So what happens if a person who has a Fentanyl addiction says enough is enough, i can no longer take being held prisoner by this medically prescribed monster? They need to find someway to detox. Now Suboxone is one theory, but people are not to high on it because Suboxone is also an opiate. So basically they are trading in one opiate for another, therefore leaving a Fentanyl addiction and starting a Suboxone addiction. The original reason for cocaine was to help people get off of heroine, but we see how that turned out, that has become a huge problem as well. On top of that if the dosage of Suboxone that is prescribed to help the person get off Fentanyl is too high then that person will go into an immediate withdrawal. It is like trying to withdrawal from a crack or heroine addiction, but the only difference crack and heroine a CHOICE and NOT a prescription. Traditional drug rehab treatment methods for Fentanyl addiction - talk therapy along with medicinal treatment to lessen the pain of withdrawal - often have less than 10% success rates after the first year due to Fentanyl's powerful, physically addictive properties. Then there is the Ultra Rapid Detox which is a medical procedure under anesthesia that induces and speeds the withdrawal while the patient sleeps. During Fentanyl detox the body's receptors are cleansed of opiates while the patient is under anesthesia and asleep. The goal is to rid the body of physical addiction, as the patient sleeps through the physical withdrawal, while also eliminating the cravings that often accompany traditional opiate detox treatments. An advanced rapid drug treatment method of Fentanyl detox is the Accelerated Neuro-Regulation (ANR) which provides the highest success rate in the field of opiate dependency in the last decade. It treats Fentanyl addiction as a physical disease that can be overcome with advanced medical techniques. The Fentanyl detox treatment is performed in a full service hospital under the strict supervision of a medical director. It also allows most patients to return to a productive life in a matter of days and eliminates the need to spend months in hospitals or rehab programs! As we know times are tough and people can't afford to take off work. The only problem is that it is not covered by insurance.
"I strongly believe that this should be a show topic, because many others suffer from this addiction and for the better part of my adult life I have witnessed and taken care of both of my parents as they dealt with and are still dealing with this nightmare. I would be deeply grateful if there was someway to help them as I am leaving for the United States Navy soon. If you wish to contact me or my mother for more information on the tragic lifestyle our family lives because of this please feel free to e-mail us at dcase575@yahoo.com."
