As a feature to the show (little daily clips) or as a an entire show all by itself.
But I seen several shows on history channel that described medical practice from ancient times. Some for egypt, china, and india primarily.
There was also a show that expressed medical practice during the civil war.

But I suppose several shows can be prepared off this concept.
Or many several short clips taking a century at a time or a country at a time.
