What genetic factors produce red hair? What skin conditions (skin cancers, sunburn, sun damage, freckling, bruising, bee stings, etc.) are redheads and other fair-complexioned people more prone to suffer from, and what are the best treatments and preventative measures for these diseases and ailments? Why do “gingers” require more anesthesia before surgery, and what are the pharmacological implications of this issue for everyone?

Based on studies, those of us with titian locks have a higher tolerance for pain, are more likely to be left-handed, engage in sex more frequently, and make better basketball players—well, maybe that last one is just me.
