IN MEMORY OF TIGGER

& emergency pet clinics allow/keep...

at least one box of FROSTY PAWS on hand at all times, please.

See, on earth when sick sometimes we all lose our appetite & something cold feels soothing to eat. Tiggs loved to licky lick his ice cream cups yet I didn't think to ask and complied with hospital rules. (They boil chicken for pets there.)

Even I felt nauseous looking at boiled chicken pet hospital said prefers to feed pets under their care there. FROSTY PAWS has lots of good nutrients too. The night before admitted Tigger ate one of his doggie ice creams yet didn't want that boiled chicken at pet hospital for six days while hospitalized.

Tigger was use to having an ice cream a day while watching TV at noon, on wfaa channel 8, during family time. A dog's emotional well being is an important factor in recovery and eating something is better than nothing. Tiggs was still able to eat his doggie ice creams and deserved that happiness his last week of life instead of being force fed, and mostly refusing, their boiled chicken (starving).

It is easy to get too mechanical in medical care & forget the compassion element of how stressful the experience is for pets and their owners. So, in memory of Tigger, REMEMBER the FROSTY PAWS...

Even when SO sick the night before going to hospital when unable to eat anything else... Tigger was in doggie nirvanna enjoying his doggie ice cream. It likely soothed his tummy. I know when I'm sick I often eat popsicles. Dogs have feelings and preferences too. Listen... Tigger wasn't just a pet he was a family member.

"My First Scrubs"

A show with audience children and... This would be a great way to get children interested in healthy choices. Children who go to show could receive scrubs in pink or blue or other colors with their name monogrammed on. And/or a doctor's jacket. Or with THE DOCTORS logo is what most might like.

Have a contest at LA schools, not just one, to write in questions for the doctors and in a random drawing pick audience. Then, everyone at their schools would be excited and could have a tape to watch at school assembly.

Or teachers could pick most unpopular children in school so they'd instantly be popular. A good way to interject Jay's anti-bully pledge too. Four for all levels of school: grade, junior high, high school and college.

Maybe there could be weekly passwords (example):

N.B. Principal or Teacher(s) from child's class accompanies child(ren). Can be nationwide. Up to y'all. Audience comprised of persons in each group. *thanks*

Random Drawing from each school participating so each school excited and each school sees video of show of age appropriate tips in a special assembly as many as there are studio audience seats at THE DOCTORS studio for each child and Principal or Teacher(s) attending with child(ren).

Also, might be best to have the questions anonymous when addressed ON SHOW so child not embarrassed. That's up to y'all too. You'd have name on questions... or a good time to say always speak up if you have a question because that's how we ALL learn. Those who ask are brave "and" smart. Y'all are good at that saying, "I use to wonder that when I was your age" etc. Might even inspire a few to be doctors. *bath*

(Revised since I think someone who originally had t-shirts as part of gift idea changed to scrubs. Plus could get expensive for entire audience to receive scrubs so some hand sanitizer with The Doctor's Logo would suffice as just being on The Doctors Show IS an honor in and of itself. Although, "my first scrubs" are darling on babies. Just Google Google Images to see "my first scrubs". Multiple posts DUE TO REVISIONS and since a stellar idea since THE BEST WAY to avoid many illnesses IS washing hands and since likely won't receive enough votes to win. What good is a good idea if not shared so sharing. Also, I am especially passionate SCRUB CLUB about since Louis Pasteur is my favorite scientist, since grade school, and he's who thought of germ prevention via sterilization etc.)

You could possibly follow a doctor and a high school "shadower". When should a student start shadowing a doctor? For how long?
What type of letters of recommendation?
If not the 7/8 program that is so difficult to get into-what should a undergrad major in to look good to a med school after graduation?
You get my drift.
My son, Dane, was shadowing Jim Sears last year, but we decided that we started it all too late to get into a 7/8 program (he was a junior); he's going to get his undergraduate degree-then apply to med school.

Sporting & concert arenas across USA and beyond provide access to Red Cross et al reputable charities to hold a HUGE garage sale. All proceeds can go to Red Cross or THE DR. PHIL FOUNDATION or be divided among all qualifying charities. Numbers on tickets could be give to all charities that prove are legal legitimate charities from SPCA to RED CROSS to SERVICE DOG charities to DR. PHIL FOUNDATION divide what doesn't sell with ONLY stipulation to not take more than can store so ZERO is thrown away.

Many persons like myself have items to donate that when sold translate into cash. I know some say to have a garage sale yet the problem is in Dallas, now, you cannot put up signs except in your own yard w/o a $1,000 fine. It just has to be luck someone is driving down the street.

Sadly, eyewitness account, I have seen charities throwing away items in good to mint condition since no place to store... over a hundred books a week. Some autographed. Some items vintage, some antique. I asked could I have the books thrown out each week and told, "No, but could have everything for 2 to 3 cents a pound IF took everything." I had no place to store yet told as many as I could about that offer.
