Recently I have been experiencing ankle pain - constant pain just below the ankle bone on the outside of my right foot. I doubt its a fracture, it does not feel like a tendon problem. I am trying raising the foot, ice and bandaging to see if it passes before going to my Dr.
So here's the idea for a segment:
How to know what kind of injury you might have and what to do.
- It might be easy enough to know when a break has occured, but what about a possible fracture?
- the difference between a sprained and a strained muscle?
- Different types of pain mean what? Sharp/stabbling vs constant vs pain that is localized but radiates out when movement occurs....etc?
- Which pain requires immediate care vs home care first?
- When to ice vs when to use heat? And when to rotate between the two?
