Most Migraine sufferers - like myself - have tried absolutely everything to bring this condition under control. The common painkillers don't work for most of us, and neither do expensive prescriptions. Osteopathic adjustment provides relief sometimes, but doesn't work as a preventative. There are studies with various supplements that show promise, like fish oils, b vitamins (niacin and riboflavin), feverfew, butterbur, coenzyme Q10, and more - but it can all be very confusing and even outdated. What are some of the newer treatments that anyone suffering from chronic Migraines can try?
I also have chronic neck pain which I believe causes the stress headaches that eventually progress into Migraines. No matter what i do - massage, heat therapy, osteo adjustments, you name it - i wake up in pain every day. There's good days and bad days, but I'm falling into a depression about this and I don't know what to do about it. I don't work right now, and I'm honestly scared to get a job because my attendance is so affected by the pain and fatigue. I used to partially manage the neck pain with NSAIDs, but am forbidden from those since I caused a bleeding ulcer and I suffer from IBS also. I'm out of ideas, and desperate for your input.
