AMEN, M.D. is the author of "CHANGE YOUR BRAIN, CHANGE YOUR BOBY", and I would love for the doctors to invite him on the show to talk to people about the brain. Please I would love to be on the show , because when I was a little girl I fell from a block on the back of my head since I was standing on the block and I was in Haiti when that happened and I never check my brain. I WOULD LOVE TO HAVE A BRAIN CHECK please invite him to the show.

Dedicate a show every Friday to serious chronic illnesses and have special guest experts on the show to field questions about the subject matter. Cover topics such as prostate cancer, breast cancer, osteoporosis, hepatitis B, hepatitis C, multiple sclerosis, restless legs syndrome, and other topics. I am a project director at a medical education company, and I think this would be a nice change of pace for viewers from the how to cure warts and breast augmentation segments.

I've seen plenty of segments on The Doctors about hearing aids and implants that help people hear better. While these are medical miracles they are mostly, if not entirely, geared towards people who were born hearing but have lost their hearing due to age or injury. But what about people who are born deaf and want to stay that way? The medical community tends to view deafness as a medical condition that needs correcting or curing, but many deaf people see their deafness as a cultural identity that should be celebrated. The doctors would be a great place to explore the ongoing controversy between the medical community and the deaf people of America. Although deaf culture and American Sign Language are slowly pushing their way into mainstream America (there's now an iphone commercial with a deaf couple, a national PSA about CPR done entirely in American Sign Language, and even a superbowl commercial a few years ago) there are still many Americans who don't know anything about deaf culture or sign language. The Doctors has done an excellent job raising awareness about all types of people and their medical conditions, and it's about time there was a segment raising awareness about deaf culture.

Describe what mitochondrial disease is. Who does it affect? How common is it? What type of doctors treat it? What can happens to a person who has it? Well I have mitochondrial disease and I see a neurogeneticist @ Massetchusetts General Hospital by the name of Dr. Katherine Sims. I have mitochondrial recessive ataxia syndrome(MIRAS). Every 30 minutes a child is born w/ mitochondrial disease and millions already suffer from it. There all kinds of mitochondrial disease. It's hard to find a doctor to treat you because there are so few who know about it and treatments are always expensive because of the number of illnesses and different medical conditions it causes, and their serverity. I suffer from many medical conditions and they all take their toll but I'm still here and all I want is more awareness spread about mitochondrial disease.

Affects daily life and the work place. (can not be around anyone with perfume)
Most doctors unaware of why and how it happens.
Some doctors think it mental not physical.
Is it linked to any other health issues?
Difficulty finding products for everyday use, such as hair products and cleaning products that deodorize.
