Why? Since lead has been found in toys for children beginning in WWJD metal bracelets even before found in large quantities of other toys. As well as, melamine found in dog food & baby formula plus anti-freeze in toothpaste...
You may still notice in small print on many chew toys/food for pets (even by major companies) that arsenic is used as a preservative in processing. We were reimbursed vet bills from our pets getting VERY sick on years ago. Reason being because the requirements for making products in other countries are not as stringent as those in USA.
After hearing about lead in children's toys I suggested to a few powers that be that cooking pots & pans be tested for lead since most made in China yet, to my knowledge, testing of cooking pans for lead has yet TO BE conducted. I hope y'all will run a test for lead content on cooking pan sets, skillets and other cooking paraphernalia. Thank you.
