I noticed that when I went on a low carb diet, my vitals (blood pressure, triglycerides, cholesterol) all dropped significantly to normal levels. I am not suggesting a story about the low carb diet, but a story about how the bodies inability to metabolize either grains (corn, wheat) or carbohydrates can be the actual source of problems like diabetes, heart problems, etc. It took me 40 years to realize that my constant drowsiness and stomach issues was actually a reaction to wheat. I use to fall asleep all the time and at times walk around like a drunk.Through trial and error I finally found out it was wheat. It is also interesting to note how I found this out. Much of this revelation came from trouble shooting for my daughter who has more prominent reactions to foods and autism. I think for me issues like high blood pressure, cholesterol, triglycerides and borderline diabetes are a reaction to food.
