This is about when I hurt my back while trimming a tree. It hurt from my back down my right leg very badly after this accident.
I tried physical therapy with two different chiropractors and nothing worked, so went to a doctor. He did an X-ray and an MRI on me and said I had a slipped disc in the lower part of my back between L4 and L5. He said when he operates he takes the disc out and fuses the bones back together. I have never had an operation and decided I did not want one now.
Then I had two shots in my back from another doctor, which dead-end the pain for a short time, but then it came back. So I went to a pain specialist and had three shots in the nerve of my back. It worked for a while but the pain came back.
I had seen a commercial on TV advertising an inversion table, so I bought one. It took about two minutes to fix my back once I was on the table. No pain, no operation. (I can get the X-rays and MRI results if you would like to see them.)
The way the inversion table works is that it is somewhat like a teeter-totter, you lay on the table, lock your ankles in place, and rock back slowly until your head is lower than your feet, much lower. When you are almost upside-down, you raise your arms over your head and that puts the arch in your back. Then you relax totally and when you are upside-down and relaxed, your back stretches out and that lets the disc slip back into place.
This will help any back or neck pain, and also I have found that it cleans your sinuses as well.
