I would like to see a show that covers the causes and treatments concerning this issue. I am 37 years old, and while I won't admit to having this problem, it has been a nightmare for all of my life. Imagine being afraid to go to sleep at night. Imagine having a thirteen year old boy at home and being afraid of him seeing that Dad is wearing adult diapers to bed.

Dear Doctors, I have a suggestion for your show. How about once a week or once a month, having a VIEWER Honoring a Health Care Professional?? The individual being honored and recognized could be a Doctor, Nurse, Homecare Provider etc. For instance, This week's honoree could be Tom Sweeney, RN MS, NP, CDE. Tom heads up The Diabetes Treatment Center for Loma Linda University Medical Center.(11285 Mountain View Avenue, Suite 40 Loma Linda CA.92354) Tom has worked at the center for the past fifteen years and has never had a sick day. This is just one example of his outstanding commitment and dedication to not only his profession but more importantly, his patients. I have had Type 1 Diabetes for 36 years. I have been seeing Tom for the past three years. During this time, I have experienced several medical emergencies where Tom has shown extreme due diligence in getting me through. I live approx. seventy miles from the Treatment Center so most of my communication with Tom has been via telephone. Anytime that my blood sugar has either dropped too low or risen too high, Tom has always returned my page to advise me as what to do. I was hospitalized three times last year and every time, Tom was there. He was on the phone with the ER Doctors and even followed up with me at home for my aftercare. Last Christmas he was in New York in a snowstorm taking care of his Mother who had just gone through knee surgery and somehow managed to return my page. I had just been released from the hospital and the Doctor at the hospital prescribed a specific medication that if Tom hadn't alarmed me of the danger of taking too much, it might have resulted in a heart attack. He advised me to only take the medication over the weekend and not to continue it for the 30 days that it was written for. The following Monday he faxed an order to the Laboratory that does my blood work. As it turned out, based on the results, it was a good thing that I did not continue that medication as directed. Tom has returned my page when he was in the middle of running a Marathon!! Bottom line, Tom cares about his patients. I in fact told Tom that I felt sorry for his family because I could not see how there could possibly be enough "TOM TIME" to go around. I live alone and just knowing that I can call Tom anytime day or night and he will respond is very comforting for me. I am currently on the insulin Pump. Before going on the pump, I was taking six shots a day using three different types of insulin. The transition to the Insulin Pump was suggested by my Endocrinologist Dr. Scott Lee with the training, monitoring and guidance of Tom. My Hemoglobin A1C has gone down from 15.6 to 8.3. I am a Brittle Diabetic and although my A1C still isn't as low as it should be, The Pump, Dr. Lee and Tom have made a huge contribution to my Goal of getting there. Tom has always been so encouraging and without this support system,
I wouldn't have achieved the results thus far...THANK YOU TOM

Both physically and mentally How to keep self esteem high and keep a healthy attitude in life. I grew up with epilepsy for 20 years and had a temprel lobectomy at Johns Hopkins in Baltimore Aug 19, 2010 will be twenty years I have been seizure free now. Disabled people are people to but get overlooked alot in the world and also the work force. Thats why I learned about ADA passed in 1985 by George Bush Sr. Thanks Patrick

i think it would be a great idea to do a show on basic first aid for peds and adults. so many people have a idea of what to do in a first sid sutituation but dont know how to go about it the right way. ex. applying pressure to a wound or tying a turniquite.
