What have you conserved, recycled or donated today? I don't mean to sound like scrooge because what I'm saying comes from genuine concern. This is not meant in a judgmental way and comes straight from my heart for our earth and all God's beautiful creatures on it. See, we only have one earth.
The World is on production overload. Things are being produced that cause pollution when made and are not biodegradable so pollute again in landfills. It would behoove us all to be good stewards of the earth & one another.
In Dallas, and many cities in USA after Christmas curb side for large amounts of pickup is piled high with packing and boxes and styrafoam peanuts and gift sacks that could be recycled. Did you know Charity thrift stores LOVE those gift bags for their fancier items they sell and sometimes sell the gift bags themselves.
On the news they talked about having big boxes in front of homes of gifts advertises all you received to burglars on the troll so another good reason to recycle. A New Years Resolution you can begin now to free up room for another is to call your City to see if have a Recycle bin if you don't have one. And if your city has one of those tiny recycle bins ask for the large trash size like Dallas has. Why? OVER 50% of what is trashed is recyclable.
As Recycle Momma of Dallas, by eyewitness account, I can say that's 100% true that over 50% of what is set curb side is recyclable and quite a bit donatable. This is a weekly curb side phenomenon, and not just in Dallas. So I'm kicking and screaming about online and offline for people to be more frugal. Don't do it for me. Do it for your children and earth and, if you believe in God, maybe even for God being a good steward of the earth and one another.
A while back a teen boy saw me recycling items set curb side and shook my hand and said, "Thanks for caring about my generation." Sure nice gifts DO show love yet responsible recycling of out with the old and in with the new and packaging is saying I love you so much I want to help provide you a healthy earth.
So everyone demand eco-friendly products packaging and...
