My daughter has Turner Syndrome. We were told she would not live to be born. She had a large Cystic Hygroma and Hydrops. She was given a 1% chance of survival. She made it. She has had 2 heart surgeries and is doing fantastic. We had to be transfered to Rush University Medical center for our pregnancy and birth. I think that Turner Syndrome should be talked about because the local hospitals don't seem to know anything about it. I had to take her to the ER in November and they had no clue what Turner Syndrome was. She also gets regular Synagis shots and the nurses there had never heard of it. It is a common chromosomal abnormality and not many people know about it. A large percent of girls who have Turner Syndrome don't even know it until they don't go through puberty.
