I would like to see a show on new treatments for prostate cancer, and what survival odds are for the patients.
It seems as though prostate cancer has come somewhat to the forefront in recent years, but I still don't hear alot about treatment.
My father is dealing with prostate cancer for the second time. What makes this really difficult to face is that he was well past the five year mark. My biggest question at this point is can he be treated the same as before? My parents went outside the VA (dad is a veteran) to a Columbus hospital and recieved the radiation pellets and chemo. As this point he has not even started chemo. The only treatments he is recieving is a hormone shot and a daily pill. Is radiation therapy not an option the second time around, and why wouldn't they have started him on chemo right away?

Is it safe to put hair removal gel on the family jewels?
I'm married and haven't had kids yet and I want to know if this could effect my sperm?
I usually shave them, but had the time and nicks it creates.

1 in 500 to 1000 males are born 47XXY, the chromosomal abnormality that causes Klinefelter Syndrome. Although the incidence of this syndrome is twice as common as Down's, it is basically unheard of. Further, males typically don't know they have it until they try to get pregnant...and realize that they are azoospermic (without sperm). My husband has this syndrome and we are now in the throws of cutting edge science in an attempt to allow him to father a child. It involves surgery to slice open his testicles and look for sperm at the source. It involves IVF on my part. The said thing is that as boys who have Klinefelter's may actually have sperm in their ejaculate when they begin puberty, but lose that ability very early on. If parent's could recognize the other anatomical, hormonal and cognitive characteristics that go with Klinefelter's that tend to fly under the radar, wouldn't that be a boon to allowing these boys to freeze sperm for later pregnancies? Or help parents understand that maybe there's another reason for their son's short attention span? In the future, maybe they won't have to go through a surgery like my husband, whose doctor is world renowned urologist Dr. Paul Turek at the Turek Clinic in San Francisco. We would be willing to let you film his operation or anything else you thought would help. Please just get the word out to help these men and or/boys. They are definitely not alone!

I am a 58 year old male, who for the last 3 years has been trying to find the cause of my hot flashes, night sweats, insomnia, and mood swings. All the characteristics of female Menopause, but the wrong sex! Most doctors are slow to admit it (Andropause) exists, but there are a lot of us out there who would like to get answers, and more importantly, treatment. I would like to see this brought out into the open for the benefit of those males who are too proud to admit that they are having "problems". By the way, my testosterone level is "normal".
