Jolie Dunham and Dr. Ann Knight here! We were part of your fifth season makeover episode!! I am writing this as one who, only 18 months ago, felt like I wanted to die. I was facing cervical spinal surgery, excessive weight gain, a true identity crisis and as a result, severe depression.
Enter, actor, John Schneider. He got me committed to a workout program and nutrition that truly saved my life and helped me turn my life around at age 53!!
We are life changing coaches along with actor John Schneider, and have helped a team of people lose over 4,000 lbs!! He was just on nationally with Fox and Friends this week and talked about our Team's results. He had them blushing when he bared his abs...after losing 30 lbs with P90X...they are a sight to see:)
As a chiropractor, Dr. Knight has searched for programs that people can use to improve their health. Those developed by Beachbody (the P90X people) really do seem to do that better than most any other program she has ever seen in her 15 years of practice. Not only has our team lost 4000 pounds, but many have decreased triglycerides, cholesterol and blood sugar values, which makes a direct impact on someone's health. I have personally lost 43 lbs and have had astounding changes in my blood work. According to current research, bringing these blood tests into normal ranges, has a direct impact on health, quality of life and longevity. This falls right into the spectrum of topics covered by THE DOCTORS!
Jolie, John and I would like to coach a team of people chosen by THE DOCTORS to do one of the following:
1. to participate in a three week BODY RESET. This is a VERY specific program of supplements and mostly vegan diet that has had ASTOUNDING results in those who have done so. I lost 14 lbs. and lowered my bad cholesterol by almost 100 pts! Participants must be willing to give up caffeine, soda, meat, all processed foods and go through a detox....as well as document their ups and downs Before/After , etc...
OR
2. to participate in a 3o day workout challenge......there is a meal replacement for nutrition and several at home workouts to chose from....
Trust me, if they push/play there will be SIGNIFICANT changes, even in 30 days! Participants can document as well......and BIG REVEAL on this!
3. or the MOST intense...a 90 day workout and lifestyle change which would follow the same process as #2. AMAZING RESULTS will be revealed.
We would work with Beachbody to get free workouts and Shakeology for participants and they would simply need to commit to the length of time! They would receive online or text support or in person (most of these we assume would be in the LA area) throughout the challenge.
Makeovers on the outside are always a blast, but as THE DOCTORS know, the inner, life changing makeovers are those that SAVE LIVES!!!!
IMAGINE!! A NEW YOU BEFORE THE HOLIDAYS, courtesy of THE DOCTORS!!!
A video with current before/afters is readily available to you!!

Dear Doctors:
About 20 years ago vegetarianism was considered a fad. Today vegetarian diets are acknowledged by many in society and the American Dietetic Association as one of the healthiest diets for humans. Research also indicates a vegetarian diet helps in prevention and treatment of many dieases. Viewing the effects of eating meat, it is estimated that 30 to 60 billion dollars a year is spent on medical cost in the United States, treating hypertension, heart disease, cancer, diabetes, and obesity.
Based on scientific research a diet of fruits, nuts, vegetables, and whole grains along with physical exercise is associated with lowering chances of high blood pressure, cholesterol levels, strokes, and mortality. That's why the "North American Vegetarian Society" has designated October as "National Vegetarian Awareness Month", the month is kicked off on October 1st as "World Vegetarian Day".
I am Kurt E. Smith the owner and founder of Totally Vegetarian Catering Inc. & Veggie Chefs, I was raised as a vegetarian, and I attended the "Natural Gourmet Institue For Health and Culinary Arts" in New York City, where I studied a theoretical approach, using whole grains, beans, nuts, natural proteins, and vegetables to facilitate proper digestion, strengthen the immune system, and help prevent diseases.
Over the past eight years, I've traveled around the country cooking for various celebrities, and I've been featured on local TV networks in the Greater Philadelphia Region NBC10 and CBS3, cooking, promoting, and discussing the vegetarian/vegan way of life. There 11.9 million Americans who are interested in following a vegetarian diet in the future, your audience and viewers would benefit greatly from me presenting a delicious, educational vegetarian segment on your show during the month of October, to bring about awareness for National Vegetarian Month. Thank you for your consideration!
Sincerely,
Kurt E. Smith

First off, my name is Samantha and I am a huge fan. I watch the show every day and record it when I am at school. I am writing you this letter to tell you my story and tell you that your shows have helped me save myself from obesity. I am 15 years old and I recently weighed a total of 193lbs which made me feel horrible and ask myself, “how did I let myself get to this point?”. Whenever I would wake up and look in the mirror, I hated what I saw. A few years ago I was diagnosed with asthma and was told that if I didn’t watch my sugar, I was at risk for diabetes. I didn’t think anything of it and went on my way and gained weight. When I reached that point of being 7lbs away from being 200lbs in my teens, it was a wakeup call. During the October of 2010, I finally took the opportunity to lose the weight. I consulted my health teacher at my high school and she agreed to help me. So thru those 9 months, I started watching what I ate and the portion sizes which helped a lot because now I don’t eat anything without checking the calories and sugars of the things I ate in packages. Then for exercise, I was on the softball team and went to a cardio club held afterschool. I finally started seeing a difference and built my self confidence. Then I started to watch The Doctors to get more tips on losing weight, and you guys had also helped me a lot. I went from being a size 16 in pants to now being a size 4 and weigh 130 lbs. Now with the knowledge I have about what to eat and put certain foods together, my health teacher and I are going to start an after school club called “Losing Right” to help other high school students, such as myself, lose the weight they want and need to. And since I have lost, there is such a big difference in the way I look. people have asked me to help them lose weight which have. I am writing you this letter to help me fight childhood obesity and Help me help the young adults be healthier and live a longer life. Please write me back (or email me at: sp41096@yahoo.com).

I don't think your show has full advantage of this potential audience.
I am 65 going on 42, I was coaching cadets at West Point when Jillian was still in diapers. Who better then, to address issues with preventing shear and mobilizing fast twitch fibers, then someone who is doing it and has successful track record.

I have always been fit and exercised. Bicycling was a normal part of my routine. Yet after hitting 45 and menopause things started to change. I simply could not ride any kind of distance due to seat pain. I learned that seat discomfort is the number one complaint of riders. Plus, riding can cause nerve damage and ED problems in men! I purchased several of the “comfort” seats and they were no better. So in frustration I started building my own bike seat.
It worked so well I patented the idea and took the seat to the University of Wisconsin bioengineering department for analysis. Their testing proved that this seat will not cause the blood flow restrictions that a standard seat does. I’ve taken this seat to market. We are now selling this bike saddle in every state and internationally as well.
People write to me telling me they ride longer, more often, are losing weight and having fun again. Many in your audience would love to know about this new seat. I would like to be on your show and give seats to your studio audience.
The US Department of Transportation states the average auto trip in the US is less than 5 miles. Imagine the impact to our waistlines, general health, environment and personal economics if just half of those trips were on a bike!

Thank you for your consideration.

You've had fun with Dr. Ruth?... well, Jack is a blast and fun to have on your show, too.
His knowledge is extensive (50+ years) and all his old TV segments are still available at his website: http://www.jacklalanne.com/watch-jack/
Jack was a man ahead of his time, just about the point where the Doctors TV is now, so a great fit with your show.
Who can argue with the results of the diet and exercise, stress reduction and positive life attitudes of Jack Lalanne at 95 years of age, and in what great shape, too!
At 95 Jack is way ahead of most of us, exercising 2 hours a day...And who makes it to 95 anyway?....
Not too many unless, like Jack, you do the diet and exercises, and mental fitness/life affirming attitudes as well..
