I'd love to see a show devoted to CCSVI and MS (see facebook page http://www.facebook.com/pages/CCSVI-in-Multiple-Sclerosis/110796282297 ). Recent research from the Univ of Buffalo shows the 80% of people who are clinically diagnosed with MS have a CCSVI problem.
This could possibly be the cause and/or cure for MS, millions of people will be interested.
This moves MS from a neurological disease to a vascular disease, so most neurologists are putting this down, I'm not sure if your show will allow it to be produced.

I have a condition called Hydrocephalus. Its a fairly common disorder, but a lot of people do not know anything about it. Even neurosurgeons do not know about the latest treatments to treat the condition. Some doctors often times refuse to help complicated patients like me. I almost died as a result of a doctor that didn't know how to treat my complications. Doctors and the general public do not know what sort of complications can occur with it.When they learn that you have it, they think that you have emotional or mental illness, or that you are stupid. I was told growing up that would never be smart enough to graduate Highschool, let alone go to College. Now I am a college graduate. There needs to be a show on this desperately to dispell myths associated with the condition.

Dandy-Walker Syndrome is a brain malformation of the cerebellum. There has been limited research conducted in this area. Most parents, who's child is diagnosed in-utero, are encouraged to terminate the pregnancy because that's what the text books teach. We were one of those couples who were diagnosed at 18 weeks gestation and encouraged to terminate because they could see NO brain on the ultrasound. Our son had seven brain surgeries and five other surgeries before he was 3 1/2. He just started "regular' Kindergarten.

Together with another family, the first non-profit organization, The Dandy-Walker Alliance, was formed in hopes of raising awareness and providing hope to other families. In 2008, Congress passed the FIRST House Congressional Resolution on Dandy-Walker, #163, to help raise awareness. We've spoken to over a thousand parents of children with Dandy-Walker over the past few years, as well as many adults who have Dandy-Walker. It would be great to bring awareness and to really gain a better understanding of the broad spectrum of affects that individuals have from this syndrome. When my daughter was 9 months old a doctor told me over the phone she had SMA 1and only had a few months to live. He also added it would be wise for us to prepay her funeral while we had a clear head. He was correct she does have SMA but type 2. My daughter is turning 5 this November and is healthy and happy. We are lucky because we learned how to care for her and we searched and found dr's who understand how to manage SMA. Sadly there are too many dr's who just dont understand and are giving horrific care to sma patients. Please help us stop this. Please do a show on SMA and include the families who live with this everyday. And most importantly please include the doctors with knowledge on SMA. Especially Dr. Bach. NJ School of Medicine. Without him and many others most of our children would be gone. A show on SMA would change the SMA community forever. People will learn and maybe even a doctor or two
