You are all aware of the very serious need for blood and blood products--especially Dr. Travis. Why not do a segment on blood donation? We have an ongoing case in the SF Bay Area in which a Fremont (CA) police officer was shot and needed his total blood volume replaced 6 times. This isn't unusual and I think if you brought attention to this it might help encourage people to donate. Follow a donor through the process and then follow the unit through processing to transfusion of all the products: platelets, serum, packed red cells, and white cells. The last time I donated at Stanford Blood Center, they asked for a double red cell donation because they were so low. I can do this and I'm grateful, but I wish there were enough donors that it wasn't necessary.

BTW, I'm a California-licensed CLS, and I've seen the need myself.

It seems others don't understand what others are coping with. Shouldn't there be groups for people who suffer from IBS sp we could offer each other understanding and comfort? I say YES! We need to teach others to be more forgiving toward us when we don't meet their expectations.

Recently, I saw a post online about being so careful online and so true because I have been being bullied online now for over ten months. Post described person bullying me to a T. Especially shouldn't occur on THE DOCTORS or DR. PHIL WEBSITE.

So I suggest everyone commit to Jay's anti-bully pledge here on THE DOCTORS Website and on Dr. Phil Website. (Like we can commit to THE DOCTORS 2010 Health Challenge). Really, everyone should commit to Jay's Anti-Bully Pledge on every website yet especially THE DOCTORS and DR. PHIL WEBSITE. (See links below, please.)

I hope bully stops bullying me today because Lynn has a tumor that's gotten larger that doctor's suggested he remove even before larger. On top of Lynn dealing with prospect of surgery to remove tumor and being a caregiver for his invalid mom... Our collie I just got at collie rescue (Eddie) after our collie-mix Tigger just passed away January, 9, 2010, was just diagnosed w/heart worms today and Eddie's survival not guaranteed...

Lynn had tears in his eyes then I did as he told me what phone call about Monday, from veterinarian. Since I love them this is very stressful on us both. Just Lynn's tumor being larger was more than enough stress.

On top of Lynn dealing w/tumor and being caregiver for his mom, Eddie etc. Lynn's, now, having to take time to block person bullying me, like Facebook did, and buy $200 of Computer Security equipment advised by AT&T. AT&T said to report to websites because person being bullied, me, shouldn't be penalized for being bullied and has a right to speak up; that it's not my fault I'm being bullied.

Many bullied try to handle on own like I did to not worry Lynn or trouble moderators. I'm not first person bullied by person bullying me and much of what is being said to me has been said by person about others yet instead is true about bully. It is like bully is trying to be me using my same positive sayings, I've used over 7 years while volunteering online posting suicide prevention and other help information... yet accusing me of what that person did bullying others before me and does bullying me now that bully has targeted me.

Advice is to ignore bully(ies) which I mostly do and I apologize for any time I've reacted when hurt my feelings. I hope Jay and/or Dr. Phil do a book: Life Strategies For Adults For Dealing With Bullies. Also, a simplified version for grade school kids maybe narrated by Maggie, Pigg and Bizant.

There are LOTS of empty nest books yet WHAT ABOUT FRESHMAN YEAR TEENS BUILDING A NEW NEST AT A COLLEGE SIMULTAEOUSLY TO KEEPING UP WITH STUDIES!!! Even 60% of moves by adults use to prove unsuccessful.

As well, have some students on show of ALL economic levels. Have a teen hotline to THE DOCTORS and DR. PHIL special blog or website.

What if teen feels guilty over cost of college? What if teen gets homesick? Going to a Community College first 2 years isn't the end of the world just be sure courses transferable to college you want to attend to finish degree. What about depression prior or last year with thought of paying back student loans? What to do if get behind in studies and feel like end of world? What if feel like disappointing parents? BE PROACTIVE knowing okay to reach out to college counselors for help. Most any problem a teen can have another teen has. Many may not know gym FREE to use at some colleges and included in tuition.

A suggestion to those to avoid out-of-state tuition. Family fix up a fixer upper in City teen wants to attend college to gain residency and learn area. Especially good for teens first attending a nearby Community College first two years. Sadly, even in my home town too many landlords sock it to college students w/outrageous rent for dumpy sometimes unsafe places to live. What can a college student do if rents a place from a deadbeat landlord that isn't a healthy place to live yet has a contract/lease that is "a contract is a contract is a contract"?

A bicycle or moped can be great transportation to college. Being on bus line. Even if it isn't an option fixing up a fixer upper so teen has access to washer/dryer and peace & quiet to study and to learn area first... Teen needs to know where can do laundry, where to shop, where school cafeteria is LONG before classes begin so not overwhelmed.

Teens need to be empowered to say NO to whatever is in their best interest to say NO to. Well y'all know so hop to it like an Easter Bunny and bless Freshman College Students w/Freshman College Survival Tips in shows AND a collaborative effort book. Make it real sharing your personal stories w/a smile. Make it Fun for Everyone. Thank you.

Whereas men may play a lot of cyber games. Women have OCD politeness feeling need to answer EVERY email to show they care. Men it isn't just y'all who get the 3rd degree if forget an anniversary as women are equally hard on each other. Maybe more so if feel overlooked by cyber friends... I've noticed.

Plus, on Facebook I've noticed women love lots of the games on Facebook so women have caught the cyber games bug too, now. I said I wouldn't since you have to say okay to contact all your friends to play Farmville etc. However, the fortune cookies don't say that & I'm on my 3rd Facebook Fortune cookie which may be akin to Lay's potato chips. I've collected fortune cookie fortunes in real life since 1985 since nice positive quips.

I truly believe you could fill audience w/persons who have gained weight while morphing into a cyber life that can be just as demand or more demanding than offline life.

Look at Dr. Jim... with "Ask Dr. Jim" with all he does offline too! I don't see how he keeps up being so active offline and online and noticed even his colleagues have noticed Dr. Jim's is online A LOT since said so on THE DOCTORS. There's only ONE Dr. Jim and I'm glad he's taking a cyber break for past five days... DESERVES IT... and so do you, me, WE.

See, not only do we have to watch how many sweets we eat and we have to watch how many tweets we make (online activity) too for our peace of mind "and" waist line. Hey, 30 pounds of experience talking here... Well, 15 I gained since unable to go on my powerful, prayerful walks since slipping on hay and tripping over pumpkins October 27, 2008. Let's just say I didn't use to meet Jillian Michaels NBC BL's minimum requirement to be on the show of needing to lose 35 pounds 7 years ago and now do. I need to be sequestered to learn exercises that keep the weight off as well as my walks. See, I no longer can do the recumbent bike either due to meniscal tears in both knees October 27, 2008. Wound up needing my mom's cane about Arpil, after 3 months on recumbent bike. A catch 22 as gaining weight not good for knees and most exercise involving legs aggravates meniscal tears except swimming. Have you heard of CALGON commercial, "Calgon take me away"? THE DOCTORS "please" take me away & others needing to lose cyber fat for a cyber hiatus & to form better habits of exercise & diet including ONLINE DIET plan.

Culminating into pain to the point of sweating that I haven't had such pain since when told that I had ulcer scar tissue as a teen, at 13 or 14. Although, I'd never had bleeding prior or as a teen, possibly the cause of my bleeding internally from Friday until this past Tuesday, July 6, 2010, is due to ulcers I was told. Told one of possibilities...

I am like woman on Dr. Phil's Ultimate Weight Solution Race... in was it 2008? "I'm happy for ALL and not jealous of ANYONE who has been on TV programs like THE DOCTORS... I just want a chance too." I didn't even care to be on Dr. Phil's 1000th & 1001st show or even Oprah's Favorite Things show because I need a medical, dental & visual makeover & not a lot of gifts. (Although, I told others about so they could go. )

IF I didn't need medical, dental & visual care that'd be nice... except I do so I try to remember to put on any & every show I apply for, "If this means i couldn't be on a show for medical, dental & visual care.. never mind." Usually when I reply IF I hear back from Dr. Phil Show or THE DOCTORS... I say that as well.

Even if Dr. Phil's legal team helped me figure out if any of my dad's mineral interest that my dearly departed dad left to me is in suspense & would be enough to pay for medical, dental & visual care... I'd rather pay THE DOCTORS to do since I trust THE DOCTORS. I doubt would be enough yet would be nice if was so I don't feel so shunned being uninsured.

Although, "if" THE DOCTORS hand picked colleagues that met their specs who closer to me or in my home town. IF cost less while I stayed here or in least expensive room at Montford Inn in my home town that'd be a miracle, too. I need so much done I almost feel like I need to be sequestered like EXTREME MAKEOVER use to do. And could sure use a vacation like on RENOVATE MY FAMILY.

Even when I applied for Dr. Phil's Biggest Fan who may have been on 1,000th & 1,001st show too... not positive now... I said I thought I was tied w/another person as Biggest Fan who I told with others about 1,000th & 1,001st show. I think the wife of a man in military won Biggest Fan & that military man & his wife were cute. Still, though, I'd rather have medical, dental & visual work than car that they got. I trust THE DOCTORS just like I did Dr. Dorfman & Dr. Phil et al on ABC Extreme Makeover. They & y'all at THE DOCTORS gave me renewed faith in doctors...

I feel like I'd have a fighting chance if I had my medical, dental & visual needs met, so no longer worried about, to get a job & work at replacing family home in my home town that I lost during multiple family illness in 1994. I have so much that needs to be attended to that I feel overwhelmed.

So, after dreaming, since today when went to the doctor after bleeding internally five days in the past week from possibly ulcers etc. A colonoscopy was advised yet over $3,000 so I'm skipping. To get to the point of uninsured who go without healthcare while hoping and praying live through it like I have with gallbladder attack, untreated meniscal tears in knees from slipping on hay & tripping over pumpkins, and more recently bleeding internally for five days in the past week... I see three questions below:

1) So... How does one find a legitimate, affordable insurance plan that honors claims from a legitimate company without getting stressed out?

2) What does a person do if has existing conditions & insurance company won't cover?

3) What are the options if someone is unable to afford insurance and what are the guidelines to qualify disability, medicare & medicaid? A man I know was checking out medicare & medicaid on Google and he is VERY techno savvy as a rule. Instead application was really not for medicare & medicaid inquiries and just appeared was. Now insurance company after insurance company is calling w/one finally saying form he filled out not for medicare or medicaid & just appeared was online.

4) What if persons cannot afford medications like insulin and syringes for insulin or important medications? I have met persons online saying reusing insulin needles, going without heart medications etc.

Still not up to par so if this doesn't sound like I'm up to par... that's why. Thank you.
