I have no affiliation to Adventure Landing and just saw in an advertisement magazine for several places I just received in the mail. Adventure Landing was advertising Miniature Golf Day on May 8th.

When I was a child there were fun kid shows where you could win a prize or a chance to be on and DEFINITELY our children need good wholesome TV show to look forward to.

So would be fun seeing THE DOCTORS "and" STAFFERS getting into the action. KICK OFF show could even be of y'all and your online & offline staffers families like a company outing to encourage FAMILY FIRST. I know Dr. Jim's family has been really good sports with Dr. Jim's humanitarian efforts including Dr. Jim Day on Twitter.

Fellow member, jesslwynn, that has topic about ITP.... needs platelets. So thinking when y'all do that show you could have a THE DOCTORS SHOW BLOOD DIVE too at malls like TV series ER did. I've donated blood twice and not been asked to donate platelets as I think the more experienced donors did since took longer a tech told me. However, would be nice to know the best possible tips for donating blood and platelets so others will want to and want to again. A tech told me for both and especially when donating for platelets good to have a big meal first. My first donating experience when I did that went better than second when had a light meal and time to donate delayed 2 hours. If that happens, my advice, have snack first. Yet LOVED the ER t-shirt so much "I was a HERO in the ER" that 2nd time I donated was stellar too. So nice too, to show appreciation to donors, with a gift sack. First time I just loved my hot pink arm band afterwards and strolled home with a TEXAS SIZED SMILE. Yet saw a HUGE crowd when ER t-shirts & gift sacks given out in appreciation. The news stations of channel ER on worked in conjunction with ER TV series since donating blood IS so important.

How to check on BBB online. My least expensive Kenmore washer/dryer I purchased in 1992 is still bee bopping along (knock on wood... and I just did). Other GREAT sponsors are Home Depot and Lowes etc. just like SEARS is stellar store.

Some for under $10,000 in Tulsa, OK. I saw one for under $15,000 in Dr. Phil's home town of Vinita. Robin's home town of Duncan has lots of fixer upper potentials as well under $20,000.

I'm person who thought of SEARS sponsoring home renovation series like do on Extreme Makeover Home Edition that began in 2003. SEARS sent me a thank you 2/7/2002. However, since I said a FREE idea, I got nothing beyond thanks for my "creative ideas" and "loyalty" to SEARS. I'd asked for a modest eco/senior friendly cottage if idea used... Yet I did say, too, ultimately what good is and idea if not shared and THE BEST WAY TO INVEST IN AMERICA IS TO INVEST IN AMERICANS.

Need a change of scenery? Actually, sometimes this can be therapeutic. However, since 60% of moves fail another good reason to have a show, too, on adjusting to a new place to live. Such as college students as well since at one time 50% drop out rate of Freshman. That's a BIG adjustment to move, adjust to new place and begin a full class load at the same time.

However, a family project could be fixing up a fixer upper over the summer so student has a washer/dryer and soft place to land... Or even over a year so can have in-State tuition if attending in another State. Then, when classes begin student isn't on mental overload with full load of classes PLUS adjusting to a new area... JUST AN IDEA. Many are struggling now and have NO idea could buy a fixer upper to fix up as a family project for less than renting. Summer a great time to camp out and rough it while refurbishing a home. Frugality is a lost art waiting to be reborn.

I got idea for SEARS as sponsor of my home renovation series idea since use to ship by rail HONOR BILT HOMES by rail from 1908-1940. You can Google to see those if you never have. Below looks similar to home my grandfather built w/address same date of his Bday 817 W. Eufaula, Norman, OK 73069. I think is still there although no longer in the family. My dearly departed mom's fave home growing up> nearby Washington grade school she and I both attended.

Ironically, thought of idea since unable to replace my home lost after multiple family illness... even saving all my pennies to since 1994. Seems less likely now since over $7,000 of savings has gone to medical bills.

So if y'all or another ever do a promotional perhaps y'all could help me have a home again. Doesn't have to be fancy and could be refurbished w/recycled materials like church pews, hardwood flooring etc. I do have some elbow grease still. In the meantime, if you find a miracle deal let me know please.

In prayer and I, and others, could sure use a grief show on dealing with grief after losing a beloved pet. We were told yesterday that our Collie Mix likely won't make it. Tiggs was returned twice to shelter & hospital he's at looks very similar and he hung his head down when admitted. I truly believe he was in doggie shock thinking being returned after all these years as has never spent night away from home since adopted years ago besides when returned to shelter from two previous adopters. He lived at doggie homeless shelter a year before we adopted him.

I feel enormous grief that rimadyl he was taking likely caused the bulk of his problems then ON TOP OF THAT even though we BOTH said we didn't think a good idea... We said he wasn't due for flea treatment till Monday and hadn't seen any fleas yet they insisted they saw one. Tiggs is an indoor dog. ER gave him a pill for fleas "cause funny to staff when fleas jump off dogs and they enjoy watching." I don't see the logic of giving a dog a pill never has taken who first went to that ER with an adverse reaction to tramadol (spelling (?) pain killer) Friday then rimadyl shot the next day, Saturday, when Tiggs doesn't want to eat. A pill for fleas so now (since next day after pill) Tiggs has diarrhea w/blood & pale gums too. Tiggs wasn't suppose to have anything else until Sunday morning and then ONLY his antibiotic.

I don't see the logic if buy sonogram pictures yesterday the doctor says hopeless that he went on and did biopsy apsirations IF doesn't recommend treatment it would require since toxic to liver & kidneys. Then WHY not have just told us that day one instead of running up $4,000 to give Tiggs a flea pill to add diarrhea to his list of problems and do biopsies when sonogram spleen picture looked hopeless and treatment not recommended. I see no logic beyond running up bills out of their curiosity and amusement of "fleas jumping off dogs" not ours or Tigger's benefit.

It just seems like common sense is missing and if non-veterinarians interject common sense that it is condescended to like Robin McGraw said she'd been done by medical doctors when seeking care for her sons since she herself wasn't in medical profession. Thank God for y'all beginning the trend of demanding a doctor who listens to you. Sadly, poor timing for Tigger that all this happened over Happy New Year weekend holidays w/o continuity of care.

I feel ENORMOUS GRIEF like I let down Tigger when my NO not accepted by doctor about flea pill that can cause pale gums & diarrhea even though doctor said had no side effects. I didn't have Google and just common sense told me not a good idea so now Tiggs ON TOP OF EVERYTHING else has pale gums and diarrhea since taking. *tears* G2G PRAYER CHAIN FOR TIGGS FOR A MIRACLE... or, at least, to please come home so he his last thoughts aren't he was returned like he was twice before we adopted him. That's how he looks... shattered/orphaned. I'm devastated.
