My poor sister ia hallucinaring. I never heard that people do this, but I guess she is. I asked about it and nobody had a clear answer.
She was transferred to estended care today. The hallucinations are stilkll there but less. One doc told her they would ngo away, and just to have fun with them ... but here is my concern ...I am worried about her mental health. It's bad enough we are plunged unto sudden disaster, and having to deal with health and survival issuesw, in the 1st place. We have home and family issues, taht are affected, legal things, medical one, and it fee;ls likie a ticking time bomb.
When she was sick in Oct. ...One day she had flu symptoms, and could not breathe and the next, she was in a coma, because of the cardiac arrest. On arrival to the ER where she was diagnosed, she was ill was stomach craps and the next moment, she had cancer. The diagnosing soc was just as cold as he could be. He came in and said, "you have cancerand are being admitted", ...and walked out! In the next breath, with no time to plan, she was having surgery.
She wasour head of household. Paid all the bills, booked all medical appts., did all the legal stuff. Had all the computer knowledge. I am niot capable like her. I'm just not. I am cook and clean. I'm good at it.
Our mother was here up untill Sept. but is in a nursing home because she was too difficult to handle, now Sunny, mt sister is gone, for now, and I am having to deal with things I'd rather not.
Sunny has been unwell for several years, things that were managable, at home. Evevn after my heart attack, I was still able, but now it's differen]t.
Cabcer feels like a theif in the night that stole my life away.
