"Light Fries"?

I'm on Cycle 3 and noticed on page 97 of the book Dr. Mike lists light fries on the dinner menu.  What in the world are "light fries"?  Does that mean a few french fries?  I was surprised to see fries listed in the sample menu.  What do you think he means?

I Posted 2 New Recipes on the Message Board

Day 30 down 15 lbs!

I Made The Cauliflower Popcorn

I am still trying to figure out why its called "popcorn".  I guess if you really stretch your imagination it could possibly resemble popcorn....but it doesnt taste like it!   It is, however, rather tasty....especially if you brown it good so all the natural sweetness comes out.  I enjoyed it.  I added the spicy Mrs. Dash to give it a kick.  I halfed the recipe.  It cooked in 45 minutes , not the hour the recipe...

Doing Great...THen Came The Fudge!

I'm on Day 28 and have lost 13.5 pounds.  Yesterday, one of my clients made me some homemade chocolate peanut butter fudge (my favorite) as a parting gift!  OMG...what could I say?  She had no idea I was on this diet .  So I said, wow!  that looks delicious! Yummy Treat!

I made a batch of Dr. Mike's Power Cookies.  Today I broke one up and put it in my yogurt...it was yummy!  It was a blend of crunchy and smooth together.  You should try it!  I used to like to put granola in my yogurt.  This was better!

This Weekend's Challenges on Cycle 2

Day 18 ... finally!

I was ecstatic to be able to eat oatmeal this morning!  So happy that I cooked a half cup of raw oats and realized that I had made 1 cup of cooked!  I put cinnamon on it and added about a half cup of blueberries.  Needless to say, i ate ALL of it.  So there went my 2 starches for the day!  Oh well, it was worth it.  I have also been hungry for a REAL...

Day 11 and Feeling Fabulous!

Grilled Onions

Hi everyone...today is day 10 and i feel FABULOUS!  I can't believe I'm not hungry and craving sweets.  I am not used to cooking for myself every day, but it hasn't been bad at all.  I need to try a few more recipes though.  I LOVE the oven BBQ chicken...I could eat it every day!  I have also discovered that grilling onions in EVOO is AWESOME!  It makes me feel like I'm cheating and eating...

First Week Successful!

I'm really determined to make this 17 Diet work.  I have completed my first week and have lost 6 lbs!  I have also joined a gym and am working out 3 times a week.  I know I can do this if I put my mind to it.  I want to lose 60 lbs.  6 is a good start.  Let's all do this together!
