Sherwan- Just FYI, the doctors don't answer specific questions here on the Blogs page! This is just a page for viewers to leave their comments in regard to the show, and share their personal experiences with other viewers; but any of the responses from other viewers would just be their opinions, speculation, etc., and NOT advice from the professionals on the show! You can direct specific questions to the doctors on a different area of this site! (BTW, has anyone taken your brother to his pediatrician? IMO, his symptoms should not be ignored, or allowed to continue, especially since you mentioned that he is in pain! Personally, I wouldn't wait for a response here; it might take too long, and his symptoms/condition could worsen in the meantime!). Good luck!
If you would like to submit a question to The Doctors or their staff, you can do so by going to the top of this page and placing your cursor over MEET OUR DOCTORS or CONTACT THE SHOW. In the drop down menu click ASK OUR DOCTORS or SEND A LETTER and fill out the form.
From MEET OUR DOSTORS you can also choose a particular doctor and click their name. Once on their page you will see CONTACT. Clicking this will take you to a form to fill out to ask that particular doctor a question.
Please understand, because of the large number of responses we receive each day, unfortunately not every e-mail can be answered personally. Be assured that the producers do however, read each submission carefully. If a producer wishes to follow up with you, you may receive a phone call or an e-mail response. If this is an urgent matter, we suggest you contact your physician or local clinic.
(I knew TheDoctorsBoard would come through!!!)
it is probably mucus build up in his chest put you ear to his chest if you hear wheezing breathing funny then take him to the e.r. it can be namonia water in the lungs but i wouldnt worry that much kids can have chronic cough he just needs plenty of rest and liquids like gatorade and honey with chamoleal tea foods nothing that would irrate the throat try a humifier but the hot one not cool and when he take a shower or bath make sure is is really hot he can sniff in the hot steam and release the stuff from his nose try not to give him to much over the counter medicines because then his body gets use to it and then the t cells break down over the years and the next time he get sick it maybe worse then now
