Great books dealing with medicine

Hey so if you guys like watching the doctors ( which you do or else you wouldn't be on here) I am thinking you might like to read books that either nonfiction or mostly nonfiction about medicine. I am also thinking you might like fiction books about medicine. So here is a list of some great books that I have read about just that:

Nonfiction:

Gifted Hands: the Ben Carson Story By Ben Carson ( I think)

Hot Lights, Cold Steel Life, Death and Sleepless Nights in a Surgeon's First Years by Michael J. Collins MD

Walk on Water The Miracle of Saving Children's Lives by Michael Ruhlman

There is a great one about Neurosurgery that can be found at Barnes and Noble or Borders I can't remember the name right now but I will post it when I remember.

Fiction:

The best fiction books I have found having to do with medicine are by Lurlene McDaniels. They are bound to be located in the Teen section but they are for any age. They will make you laugh and cry and beam with pride at triumphs. They range from Diabetes, to heart transplants, to Cancer, to Hearing loss, to the loss of a friend or sibling. I also reccomend the book Izzy Willy Nilly by Cynthia Voigt to anyone who hasn't read it. It is a great story dealing with the loss of a limb.

The best thing to do to find great books dealing with Medicine is to go to your local book store and go to the medicine section and look there. I personally found all the nonfiction books listed above in my local barne's and nobles medicine section.  There are some great books out there and I encourage you to read them.
