Hey all!
So I am home on a break after my first week of staff training at camp! Camp is great and I had a lot of fun during training. We as a staff are all like one big family. We all get a long so well it is almost kind of scary, but also great because I know I can count on any of my fellow staff members to help me with anything. I learned a lot this week, but a lot of what we learned was review for me. A lot of it was first aid type stuff and as you all know I know all about that. In fact I knew more about how to splint a broken bone than the people who were first aid certified. HMMM could that be because I have had to do it so many times? I think so... lol anyways, I am feeling great my body seems to be standing up to the rigars of camp quite well, which is great news! This winter really tested me, but everything seems to be finally leveling out. THANK GOD!!! I have a week off now, and will report back next friday for one more day of training and then my first offical camp. Oh and I think the coolest thing about camp is that not all of us counselors are "healthy" a lot of us have disabilities too. There are 5 of us on staff at least that have some type of physical disability, one of which is confinded to a wheelchair. We can really relate to our campers the most cuz we have been there, and we represent hope almost for them because we are leading a semi normal life.
