A warning to all of you that are taking Fosamax!

There was just a story on my local news about how people who have been on fosamax for a period of 4 years or more are expericing severe displaced femur fractures. 

The company that makes Fosamax is looking into the large number of incidents and they believe that fosamax initally works to prevent bone loss but when you have been on it for an extended period of time that it reduces your bodies ability for your bones to handle the stress that is put on them.

There has been no offical warning issued yet, but the FDA is looking into adding a black box warning to the medicataion.
