Hello everyone!  I am a 24 year old graduate of The Pennsylvania State University, with my Bachelor of Science in Communication Sciences and Disorders.  For those of you who don't know, it's the overarching major that covers/leads into Speech-Language Pathology, Audiology, and Speech and Hearing Sciences.  Personally, I am following the SLP path.  So, while I love all of them, Dr. Orden is my ENT homeboy.  To let you understand what my plans are, I want to be a Male Medical SLP in a profession of female school-based SLPs.  Could I be more of a minority?!  Working in a hospital setting would be so much fun for me, because it's fast-paced, and I would be coming in and doing post-trauma assessments on people, using materials on-the-fly and working the more difficult cases.  My areas of interest are Augmentative and Alternative Communications and Swallowing/Dysphagia.  I also, currently, have no job and need to apply to graduate schools for my Masters degree, in order to get my CCC-SLP.  Once I get my Master's though, watch out.  I have looked and SO many hospitals are looking for SLPs.

Healthwise, I am pretty average, seeing as nowadays "average" means overweight. I try to be healthy, but old habits die hard.  I love ballroom dance, and have placed in competitions (Newcomer category).  I hope that someday I will get back on the floor and get my butt in gear.  I'm somewhat of the "triple threat", as I do ballroom dance, sing, and act.  I'd love to put my skills to use on the stage, but that's another story for a different time.
