Just a thought

I'm not sure how many of you can relate to this but I have four closets of cloths varying in different sizes ( I LOVE TO SHOP ) some still with tags on them, ( DID I MENTION I LOVE TO SHOP) yesterday I was going through some of them and came across a pair of jeans I purchased about 2 yrs ago and at that time cringed on the size thinking oh my god another size up. Well yesterday I was so excited to see those jeans that where lost in the back of the closet and thought  just for the he** of it try them on, well those fat jeans that I once dreaded BROUGHT JOY TO MY DAY !! not only did they fit I had room to spare.

Looking back I realize now that I'm striving so hard to be what I use to be and never took the time to love and appreciate who I was.

Your closet sounds a lot like mine.  I have about five difference sizes of pants and jeans and four sizes of shirts.  I'm thinking that as I lose weight, I won't have to buy any new clothes until I reach my final goal.  Whatever size I happen to be in at the moment, I'm sure I have clothes that size hanging there just waiting to be worn.  The great thing about seeing all these different sizes is ...  this time around I'm on my way down instead of up!

Hi Vickie,

I can totally relate to the closets with tons of clothes in all different sizes. And I have had clothes that hung on the hangers with the price tags still on them [for months or years sometimes :( ] I too love to shop :)

Congrats on getting into the old jeans again. It really feels so good and amazing doesn't it. I think I will go through some of my clothes to see what might fit again...it's almost as good as shopping for new clothes lol. And I agree completely about striving to be something or somewhere else in our lives that we cannot enjoy the moment and appreciate ourselves in that moment. A very good Aha moment. You are doing an awesome job and keep up the great work!

I can soooo relate.   My closet is so full and yes, I love to shop.  I have clothes in all sizes and am hoping that I will lose the weight forever so I clean it out and let go.............I realize that I have yo-yoed up and down over the years and have been afraid to let go of all of my fat clothes - this time they are going for good!

Good for you.  That always feels good to fight into jeans you forgot about.  I think it helps to keep us motivated.
