I shed a tear this morning

Good morning everyone,

Since I started this diet the very first day I set a goal for myself and that goal was to lose 10 lbs for my b-day I thought it was a reasonable goal and probably one of the best gifts you could receive on your birthday. As you all know I was the turtle that would take 2 steps forward and sometimes three back, so for the last 23 days  has been a rough road for me. I would read other bloggers success and question myself and wonder how are they doing it, losing 10, 15 lbs in 17 days wow, but I wanted to stay focused on me and do what I thought I could do. The beginning of the week I had a small weight loss and thought oh oh that'll be it for this week ! Feeling somewhat discouraged but prepared myself to be a few pds shy of my goal. So this day has come , I got on the scale and looked down and paused, I got off the scale wiping my tears and  prepared myself  to step back on the scale to see if just maybe it would change the second time. Well it didn't.

DRUM ROLL PLEASE !!!!!!!!  I DID IT I DID IT I DID IT !!!!!!!!      I have lost my 10 lbs with 2oz's to spare on my goal date. Needless to say the tears I shed this morning where tears of happiness.

Happy Birthday to me !!!!!

Happy Birthday Vickie! I am so happy for you and I can almost feel you're excitement from here. You have worked so hard to achieve this goal and deserve to enjoy every second of it. I hope you and your hubby have a wonderful time celebrating not only your birthday, but your accomplishment as well. Keep doing what you're doing and you will reach your final goal before you know it.

That is so awesome!  So proud of you..you did it!!  I know exactly what your doing thru with the struggles.  I'm sure we all do for that matter.  Someone had suggested that I start a food journal.  I did it, but thought it would do much good.  Not only has it forced me to focus more on what I'm putting into my mouth (I'm a grazer type of eater), but it really helped me emotionally.  I write a paragraph about how I'm feeling that day...when I'm discouraged and when I'm so overjoyed when I have a weight loss.  On the days that I'm feeling down, I go back & read my notes over how happy and how good I felt when I had a weight loss.  It has saved me from throwing in the towel many times.  I suggest you think about starting one and putting down all your happy thoughts of your weight loss.  Hope this helps!  Hang in there girly.

P.S. I also keep my measurments in my journal because when your building muscle, it shows as a weight gain or not loss at all.  I keep my BMI as well because it all helps to know were more than just our weight!

Way to go awesome job.  You know the last ten are the hardest to lose.

congradulations on your loss!! I have read your bloggs and find that you have had a rough go but it sounds like your body is now responding to the changes. Glad you had the stamina to keep it up. I was sure ready for something when the 17 day diet came. I am so glad that I made the choice and I can see already that I can eat like this for the rest of my life and I haven't even checked out the second cycle too much yet. I do make different choices when I go out to eat, smarter choices.
