About Me

64 year old who lost 30 lbs on Weight Watchers and I want to drop 10-15 more - I wanted a program to help me with maintenance and to control my carbo addiction. I feel so terrific and when I started a weight loss program, I promised to succeed and to never regain a pound. So far that has been successful for me. I record all my food - and I allowed myself a cheat day during that time with WW. I notice you do this in cycle 4 of this program. I am really enjoying doing this different approach for the same end result. Being healthy and feeling really good! Age doesn't matter, by the way! I love feeling my best! I hear all they myths about weight and age, but I can tell you from experience, a healthy weight is the best weight! Being a grandmother is no excuse for me. The last thing I purchased for a dear friend was a set of Weight Watcher books and a membership! Now I am telling her about this program! Never give up. Keep up the fight! You are worth it!

Goodbye Cycle1,D17!

Today is my last day and I can't say I am sorry. 114.8 today! I finally saw the 4 in the 3rd spot! I know it might go up and then back down, don't care, it's going to go down and down. I just know it! I might have Cod tonight even though it isn't on the D17 - but it's a celebration! 4-5 pounds to go. No wine, though. I won't cave too much!...

C1D13 Slow Going But Worth IT

I am definitely working the program and even though I drop .2 oz and regain .2 oz's I don't care. I feel terrific. I find that there is more than one way to measure a true WL. I am 5-6 pounds from goal and I don't compare myself to others - I have been on WW since 9/29/10 and I love this program. There is more than one way to understand myself - this is...

Hi Wags,  I have reached my WW goal.  I am so happy, now I don't have to pay.  I still want to lose another 5 or so pounds.  I am not on here  much.  Just check in to see how people are doing.  A lot of people struggling.  My good friend who has reached her WW goal just bought the 17DD book.  She said she needs it to maintain.  I love this new way of eating.  I plan to have Thanksgiving with pie and stuffing and everything and go back on cycle 1 for a few days.  This is really the only time of year I splurge so now I have the 17DD to go back to.  Hope you are doing well.

Buffy, last week at my WW WI I had breakfast before left the house - starving and knew I could not wait til 10:30 AM. It didn't matter (I don't think). I was fine. Dropped my 2 with 2 to go.

Where are you?  Haven't seen any posts from you.  Weighed in at WW this morning.  Down another 2.2 lbs.  Did cycle 2 for a while, may go back to cycle 1.  I am kind of jumping all over the place right now?  Just keep the weight coming off, thats all I want.  Had several glasses of wine this past week, my downfall, but we had a big power outage and nice to sit outside and have wine and talk to the neighbors.  Good recipe on here for faux french toast.  I modified it with vanilla yogurt and it taste like apple pie ala mode.  Yummy for breakfast.  Post soon.

Hi,  Haven't seen any posts from you lately.  How is cycle 2 going for you?  I started cycle 1 on Thursday and am down 2 lbs.  I am losing swelling now also so I think that helps.  Got into my pre surgery shorts the other day.  What a good feeling. I worked so hard to get into them and then couldn't for this past month.  Bummer.  But they fit good now.  I just love this diet.  You can jump back in at any time and the weight starts coming off again.  I am going to have a glass of wine today.  I know, not cycle 1, but I am off pain pills and just am dying to have 1 glass.  Hope to see you posting again.

Susie,I think that will go in time "flabby flap". We can't ever give up this fight! I keep lowering my goal! (LOL)! I am here for you all the way!

I thought I posted a comment and can't find it now.  Thanks for your note on my page!  You are doing great and have a lot to be proud of!  My loss is going a little slower now but I am still happy to have lost 62 lbs and have 28 to go.  I am knocking on the size 10 door for my next pair of jeans, THAT is exciting!  I have to say even though i am not at the wt the charts in the book suggest, I feel so much better.  I power-walk 6 miles a day and sometimes jog 2 more, 200 crunches a day, plus some other random things and it really feels like i've accomplished something!  If I coudl reward myself I would have a tummy tuck - I can't figure out how else to get rid of my flabby flap.  But everywhere else seems to be shaping up, so, I'm not complaining, just wish after all this hard work I could reward myself with that!  Oh well!  For now my rewardd is new clothes every now and then, much cuter in 10's and 12's and mediums than those 22/24's I was starting to buy!

Anyway, congrats to you and your healthy new ways!!!!  We have made this our new lifestyle!!!  :)

How is cycle 2 going for you?  The added foods are nice.   Weighed in at WW this morning.  Reached 100 lbs.  Just a few more to go for my WW goal.

I love Pizza, cycle 4, in moderation! We at least will get a bite, a sniff, and a look! (LOL)!

Hi Wags,

I have been missing the last few days. Life has been crazy busy. I went to my niece's wedding Saturday and I was so proud of myself for eating baked chicken and string beans and toss salad. I did have punch to drink and it was tooo sweet. So it wasn't hard to not over indulge.  I haven't been very hungry lately and so I am having to force myself to eat. Unfortunately I have skipped a few meals over the weekend and yesterday. I think I've gotten bored with the same foods.  I am hoping it doesn't affect my weight lost though.

I am at Day 16!!! I can't believe it. A part of me is excited. I said that I wouldn't weigh myself until day 17 but now I don't know. I don't know why I'm stressing this. I will let you know what I decide to do.

I have to do some shopping today to get those extra food items I can have every other day for C2.. lol. I am looking forward to the change in foods allowed. You are almost there as well!!

Maybe one day I will learn how to make a low fat/calorie pizza. I don't think I can live with out it for the rest of my life..lol
